Is the ZTE MF190 from the U-Mobile Prepaid package unlocked or SIM-locked ?
*
ZTE 190 with the UM logo is not simlock, even if its simlocked, uncle digilife can unlock for you FOC...........

ZTE MF680 and ZTE MF60 ( MiFi) are simlocked to Umobile, currently unlockable, but there are online portal that promised they will send you the unlock code if you PayPal them, but dont you dare to pay them first? hmm.gif

Similarly, the Maxis branded E372 too is simlock and is unlockable currently............. sweat.gif

Too Much heat MiFi/Modem misbehave

Too Little power < 1A, MiFi/modem lazy to optimize its rated speed

Too Much or Too Little , the device sucks............

Best is use a E372 on a MR3420 , why, E372 is optimized for highspeed ( chipset ) and MR3420 give it the best power requirement it need to perform and thereby the Modem will perform to expectation, what more if you use a tetra pack to reflect the signal to the modem ( RX Diversity )

Really considered FREE after serving the 12-month contract ... RM18x12
*
dun say serve out the contract as i WILL extend it beyond 1 year as rm18/mth (1GB) after a full 12mths Maxis give you a free 1GB/mth (2GB/mth)is the cheapest around and can be re-rented out for rm28/mth to anyone.........remember its maxis postpaid which can be used with VPN icon_idea.gif not prepaid ( which cannot)

use it for tablet as mostly tablet can run on free wifi too, so not much bandwidth of the simcard is used......

Do you mean we actually get 1GB+1GB from this MOC package ?
*
nope only 1GB, but i strongly believe if we stay for over a year, Maxis will reward us with another 1GB next year , it happened to its customers before, wat more next year is the year of LTE and Broadband Bandwidth will be "loosen" up for takes...........

Sometimes QoS is just a guide of what speed you would get but not necessary tied you to the maximum or minimum

I have a simcard that only have QoS of 2048/2048 ( some regulars would knoe which simcard i am referring to, esp KKW )

During "normal operating hours" on a Icon505M/E372, i get mostly speed of abt 2Mbps ( rated QoS )

But during "graveyard shift hours" i get 5Mbps on a Icon505M

How do you conclude that QoS will tied you to a certain speed range?

However when i use my simcard of QoS 16000/8640 on a E372 during "graveyard shift hours" i only max out at 9Mbps and not 16Mbps?

somehow,i did see people posting speedtest and IDM transfer rate screenshot which exceeding 8640Kbps download speed.particularly when used DC HSPA+ devices such as new ipad.some of them get 13Mbps download speed

at first it's hard to believe then i saw lots of people got that >8640kbps speed using maxis skmm.so untung maaa.bayar rm25 dapat speed tgggi  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
ipad III is a DC HSPA+ device, so speed of 21Mbps is possible on Maxis and Umobile's Network now

Maxis/Umobile on Huawei E372 is possible to get speed of 21Mbps currently at selected location currently, if your QOS is 42000/8640(maxis) / 42000/5760(UM)

yeahh.i know that.we all know that maxis skmm is capped at 8640kbps.then how come they can get 13Mbps.im holding to this theory.when a sim is capped at a speed like 8640kbps,no matter what device he's using, including DC HSPA device,he will get that speed.not more than that.or is it depend on area?

im quite confuse though  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

wrong

i have a maxis simcard which QoS is 2048/2048

during "graveyard shift" i can hit 5Mbps on an Icon505M

how to explain this?

maybe the MDMA is not the best software to know SIM capped Qos.

my conclusion is that, when there is not much users during a particular time, you will fully utilise the network capability as i used to clock over 2048kbps on that 2048/2048 simcard when using it in my HTC Flyer which have a rated Speed of HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
