QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ May 13 2012, 02:22 AM) Yea i forget your ZTE MF622 u mobile set, She bought her MF622 (back in her MMU days) at the current price of a E372 now, infact much higher, it was rm500 then and our Admin, Se7en also bought a MF622 at that price. Why i knoe so much?wow that one was 3 years plus GLORY,... statement should be ZTE MF622, E1762, E353 all is my favourite modem Because i sold them those modems. We were the early batch of USB Modems Users back then and the other choice of a USB modem then was the Huawei E220, retailing at rm1299 by TenTen Malaysia. I still have the list of those who bought MF622 from me. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 13 2012, 09:52 AM) You first bought a Nokia 6630 to use as a modem, later after you bought the MF622 then you sold off the 6630.I was the one who sold you the 6630, remember That time Maxis still din roll out 3G through out Malaysia and Celcom only have 3G, and Umobile started 3G in the Klang valley only. Our Celcom D68 only max out at 0.4Mbps Those were the days incase u guys duno the broadband landscape then, but mind you, the speed was fast although D68 max out at 0.4Mbps, very responsive and the Yellow Man, Digi was only doing Edge @ rm98/mth. totally unlimited on Quota.....to DL a 500MB file, it would literally take a day to complete....... Before i bought this MF622, i was using a Nokia 6230i to act as a modem on DiGi's Edge and later use the Nokia 6630 ( which i sold off to Coco ) on Celcom D68, later i use MF622 on Umobile/Celcom and finally Maxis 3G internet. Now i am using a combo of Maxis 3G, Maxis Skmm, Celcom Skmm and YES on different devices at different locations...... |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 13 2012, 02:33 PM) Of course I remember but to buy a Nokia 6630 was also considered expensive to me. If D Campus din capped you, you would not have got this Maxis Unlimited, more so now which Maxis have totally "shut off unlimited legally".I guess then I managed my finance much better than now. I still remember the D98 which I subscribed and wasn't capped for nearly a year. After that they started to cap on me, I went on to D68. Finally got the D' Campus and survived on EDGE in Malacca for few months before moved to KL for my new job. Then, I managed to get HSDPA speed on my DiGi. Finally, I'm on Maxis 3G Unlimited until today. Can never ask for more now. Btw, now you have more Gadgets compared to Uni Days |

sincerely u-2 u-8 or u wat also useless cause ONLY Umts2100 gives highspeed in Malaysia.....
morale of my story, as long it can run on umts2100, that is it.......you have a high probably to get highspeed , umts900 speed is for "grey" areas where u get signal but not highspeed like hard to reach concealed area....... our Gomen damn clever to sell this "unuse" bandwidth to telcos like Maxis/Celcom to tap into grey areas , Gomen earn money literally from the space we breathe like patrick teoh said "niamah" |

with the little omni antenna i managed to get umts900 in my area on my e367
without the antenna, umts 900 is not DETECTED but umts900 here is not strong morale of my story, umts900 is present but without the proper device our modem cannot detect it, but then again its speed sucks, who need it anyway? why need umts900 when u can get thsi speed on umts2100 ![]() This post has been edited by digilife: May 22 2012, 08:30 AM |

QUOTE(nordingh @ May 25 2012, 01:45 PM) Even right now with modem I only reach 8mbps.... the reason is, I can use while out on Tab and can share with my family too. That would be on Maxis. becareful of the temperature, it might explode and destroy your simcard in the process For my own use, I have another line... using a modem. Phone have a lots other process too... and the chipset normally using a cheap2 one.. to save cost. I need too... my Mifi now so hot because the battery keep charging... |
