are u using the Y cable?

100+ can drink is a must cause the "electrode" inside ( cause 100+ contains lots of salt) will acts as the magnet to draw in the signal thumbup.gif

I just bought Huawei E353 few day ago.
Here my short review about this modem.
The signal of this modem are stronger compare than E1762 and E173.
Using E353 I can keep my connection more than 2days without dc but on my E1762 will last less than 2days.
Sometimes on this modem get lower ping compare to E1762
This is my current speedtest during this hours on my router

pls plug your modem direct into your usb port and run mdma to check its RSSI or just use the Huawei/Maxis dashboard to check its RSSI

thanks

I am also interested on the B660, how much is it selling and where can get it other than Maxis bundled with free voice ?

btw, icon505M, superb PING on a RSSI of abt -90

wat ever MiFi, it still sucks cause battery power wont be strong enough to POWER Highspeed HSPA/+ (with OLED screen), unless you use a power point to charge it while using ( but defeat the purpose of a MiFi unless u are sharing with a few frens.........)

But YES Huddle is different cause the battery is a 2700 mAh battery which is very powerful. Imagine Ipad2 3G battery is 6600mAh and can last 10hours driving a LCD

HSPA+/ HSPA modem on a router like MR3420 is different cause the modem is getting the power from the mains of the router icon_idea.gif

not much info gathered, wat i wan is a table which list out/most of the modems where we can make comparisions , Chuah have mentioned that Qualcomm 8200(E353) above is the best, E372 is 8280 and some LTE modems are 9xxx

Looks like this is one good stuff: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2286240

But not sure on the pricing. hmm.gif
*
Price wise, its >rm100 , but consider this

The router itself is as small as a E353, so having said this, the battery must be small, hence how long do you think it can "survive" when you are on the go.

Just take a Huddle to compare, its battery is 2700mAh, Lithium Polymer, made in Korea, quality wise is damn Good but it can only last abt 5 hrs maximum, so how long this thing can tahan?

It also cannot be use while charging, it have to be fully charged, then only it can be used.

Can it support high speed modem, like E353 or E372?

I hope the seller wont fucuk me when he reads my writings icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes it supports E372 and YES dongle. smile.gif
Can use cable one ma, not bulky. laugh.gif
Anyway, good for those travel all the time, that includes me but I'm not getting another this thing. sweat.gif
*
YES, some of us should buy this and try it out and let us knoe how good is it,

@Chuahcs79, will the battery issue affect the "power" of the router?

If it support E372 and E353, i believe its a good buy , however the main concern is the "built-in battery" i used to own a few bluetooth handsfree but those battery are Built-In, its not replaceable, just imagine after using it for a few mths and it goes kaput doh.gif

Agree...

I also looking for Mifi now to use with Umobile 42Mbps soon. (2 more weeks for me kick my P1 modem out)  rolleyes.gif

I want to buy my own Mifi as I don't like to bond with contracts.
*
MiFi dun work very well cause they utilise battery power, For highspeed you will need optimum power to power the chip, if possible use a USB modem on a MR3420 if you really wifi, or else just buy E372 and plug direct into your PC's usb port.

my MF 60 can use external antenna.
*
have you tried the external antenna, if not becareful not to rip off the antenna socket as some antenna cable is such rigid that it will rip your MiFi Antenna socket out, it ripped off one of my E1762 Antenna socket ( connector) and rendered the E1762 with less "power" on reception..............

not yet thank 4 the info tongue.gif

Added on April 5, 2012, 12:44 pmIf I wts my MF 60 and buy HAME MPR-A1, does this good? hehe
*
imagine this

MF60 run on battery, and the signal and speed is not up to expectation and it is running on a Bigger Capacity/Size battery than the Hame , wat will happen to your connection when you use a Power Hungry USB modem with a Router that only utilise a battery which is smaller in size and capacity.

Pls take note that my Icon , infact all HSPA+ modem that is 14.4Mbps and above are Power Hungry icon_idea.gif

When you pair these modems with a Router that run on AC, meaning the main power supply , it sure can run at topspeed cause the main is supplying the power to the USB MODEM ( ask Chuah on Power Supply and USB Modem, he damn sifu and discovered this with his experiments) . But if you pair a battery operated router with a High Speed USB modem doh.gif

Why i said so, i own 2 Huawei MiFI ( one from Maxis and one from Umobile ) and a DLink Dir457, and all performed like shite when battery is low......and this explains why i aquired a YES Huddle recently as YES Huddle is different as its battery is a Very Good Quality 2700 MAh Lithium Polymner battery (made in Korea, not China , no pun intended ) to power my devices when i am on the go. I ady explained this Huddle can run on AC without the battery inserted when i am at home/workplace, thus "save" my battery for to use when i am on the go......

MiFi for short usage is good but not for extended use, unless like Huawei where u can plug in the mains and use , but then again, it will kill the battery laugh.gif cause it cant be powerup if the battery is not present , unlike Huddle icon_idea.gif
