1gb @ rm 18/month

ping 229 ms
download 1.38 mbps
upload 1.75 mbps

so changing modem will up ?  blink.gif
*
Honestly... no need to change your modem.. better use what you have...

If you have better modem which can give you better speed... mean you will use up the quota really fast..

Yesterday, I have use up 2Gb in 1 day.

Hi peeps...P1 is all out launching their MiFi MF230 with charges as low as RM1.30 per day. The device allows you to connect up to 5 devices via WiFi and 1 via USB.

Check out their MiFi with P1 toGo plan for more details.

Still expensive... and from my previous exp.... all I can say, I hate P1.

I do want to conclude that the Celcom OEM design is very ugly

Although the device price is a lot lower than the market but need to be bonded in a 12 months contract

i guess in your situation, consistent is the most important then follow by speed,..  hmm.gif
*
Yes but hard to find one that give that...

my Umobile connected for 30 hours... but after that start to dc, while i have something really important to do...

maxis even worse now... I can't use for work since end of last month.... after I heard they start blocking some of the port... doh.gif

Umobile also blocking my access last time, but they open it when I start make a noise... 2 months of noise....

Telco shouldn't block any port... we pay, we can use whatever port we want...

most of the telco block 70% of the port,.. well, still wireless broadband is my only choices because in my area only have streamyx 1Mb plan, LOL, so i end up with maxis,.. of course our device combination set also as important as the line too
*
Port numbers range from 0 to 65536, but only ports numbers 0 to 1024 are reserved for privileged services and designated as well-known ports. Port above 1024 is not use by common services, most likely will be use within the local lan.

1024/65536 = only 1.5% well-know port which commonly use.

how telco know which one to block from 1025 - 65536 (98.5%) if you say they block 70% of it. If they want to block VPN, that mean only need to block port 500, 4500 and maybe 1701 too. I use port 8280, which is not vpn port anyway.

Telco take an easy step to block all port except most important one like http, https, ftp and etc... but never think that some of their customer will need that...

here is the list..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TCP_a...DP_port_numbers

VPN mostly use 2 port... that normal. even FTP use 2 port but you see only 1.

My work is configuring firewall for the last 12 years... common port number mostly inside my head.
