QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Apr 11 2012, 09:58 PM) Portable 3G/3.75G Battery Powered Wireless N Router TL-MR3040 hehe, this tp-link hybrid router really got a lot story to tell ...![]() http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details...=TL-MR3040#spec it launched already, but first being sold in cn mainland - use their domestic users as white rat (these were what their consumers complaint about). what's wrong? their v1 hardware revision having hardware design flaw - the ac power keep charging the battery even the battery already full, thus would spoil the battery in long run. v1.1 solved this serious problem, thus making v1 purchasers very angry there. Btw, cannot use pure ac power, battery must always sit in. And while in recharging the battery, the router cannot function, must wait till fully charge or dont' charge, cannot at the same time charging and working like hame. That time i tested even got 3G network frequent disconnected & reconnect attempt issue, not knowing firmware bug or hardware matter. Another option is Tenda, this also getting bad comments from cn users - they posted the forensic pictures of the internal part, one main drawback is just 2MB system memory. the good option of hybrid router generation 2.0 would be Edimax from TW among them, but quite expensive. initially i wanted to bring the tp-link hybrid router, but after doing testing and seeing the vast comments out there among several brands, scared, finally go for hame, no regret. so far hame leads in hybrid 3g router market. pro-link also got a rebranding of hame hybrid router generation 1.0 (the shape like a mouse device) introduced in last pc-fair. anyway, desktop 3g router still dominated by tp-link. after launching so long now seems still in 1.x hardware version, means their initial design of desktop router is good enough, no need serious redesign, tp-link really do well in desktop home product. You wan lower figures, yes, there you go ?
this one is lower if you have AU$125 http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/New-unlock-Huaw...=item3a72410eb5 btw, a MF60 is a MiFi, how do u pair it with a Router? and remember a MiFi is only a temporary solution if you wan internet/wifi when you are OUTSIDE of your house or office cause most MiFi utilise a battery to power up a device, you can have WiFi BUT the speed will not be fast vause for highspeed, you need to have more power to suck all the available bandwidth , so i can conclude unless you use your MiFi on the Mains, else the speed is only so so je............ If you use the MiFi on Mains, the battery will konk out faster than you reliase, it happened to my sister's Huawei e5832 (the battery retired in less than 6 mths as she use the MiFi on mains) UNLESS its a Huddle which can be power up without the battery inserted and for those Formula 1 Fans of USB modem here you go................... its just a spike only like when you drive the F1 car on a straight |
