New mifi competitor : http://global.dlink.com.sg/site_pdtpdfs/DW.../DWR-910_ds.pdfDownside is still on LTE Cat 3, single band wifi but comes with dual mimo foldable antenna, battery pack extension. I got their protable router+power bank DIR 510L, but the router does not have much options to play with. the plus side are dual band + E3276 supported natively. Hi, would like to ask for sifus opinions. I'm currently using my old phone as a modem for U-Mobile broadband, but the reception is very bad in my area. Will I get better reception with a MiFi modem? I'm eye-ing on Huawei E5220. Thank you.

Thanks wkkm007 for leading me to this thread! Anyway hello guys I do not know anything about modems, so help me out a bit here if you have time to spare? Thanks! I will be going to Sarawak soon, and I desperately need an internet plan there during the 1 month. I will be using a prepaid Umobile sim card for internet usage, and I will not have a usb modem stick or any modem for that matter. I will need to have a device which can create a wifi hotspot (for 2-4 devices) without needing a USB connection or power supply since I will be travelling a lot there. I think that device I'm looking for is called a SIM MIFI modem router? If I am right, can anyone recommend me a cheap but decent one for me? Budget around RM 150 Currently looking at TP-LINK’s M5250, will it be a good buy? Thanks again

Hi,
I was just wondering what do you think of the Maxis ipad mini promotion with the 1 or 2GB data plan?
Is it worth it?
