Not sure about sucks interior. I have read almost all the reviews of the Prius C on the internet, but non have really mention about interior that sucks.  In fact most have call it fun and modern but one thing they all seems to agree is that the C is the best compact hybrid with the best fuel economy.

the design of interior of the Prius C is a bit un-usual.. it is more like an interior designer job ... not everybody can accept the new concept....

Failed interior designer.... I have yet to find a comfortable seat in PriusC the fact is the front 2 seat is rather.... thin a little sagging...

but overall the car is fine it is nothing too exciting (on interior) and the ride is smooth and quiet... the power can feel from the main electric motor can feel the torque rush but I'm still waiting for the actual driver review on long term basis what happen when the battery is depleted and the car need to rely on the engine alone while waiting for the car to recharge its battery ala Going up Genting case.. will the 1.5l engine with much lower horse power (due to akinson implementation) affect the car climbing hills...

OOoo Prius-V the longer version ala wagon style smile.gif

I still not liking the center dash console design be it in X-Trail or any other car... that include toyota new approach... it is like screaming to every one in your car look I'm speeding come scold me...

actually, jap's interior designs are not that good except for accord maybe. friend took me on a ride on his ct200 yesterday and i realized it wasn't that nice even for a jap car meant to rival contis. but of course, the higher GS range is different biggrin.gif. end of the day: you pay for what you get. you want a perfect car? buy aventador J. definitely make girls wet, or perhaps guys too. lol

bmw boring? maybe to you but it reeks of Class. Audi to me is still weird, they take the circular approach for their interior.

BMW interior is boring laaa even for a e92 it is nothing to shout... it stick to the same layout for 15 years since e46....
The only interior thats sparks life is the C200 (the current Gen)

CT200h uses leather warp... nice for that budget vs BMW which uses synthetic PU... soft yes quality yes but boring

to get my fact right

The centre dashboard design is better and safer.

For normal dashboard where the meter is in the center, you will have to look down to somewhere in between the top and middle of the steering wheel. During this time to totally lose sight of the road.

For center console where the meter is mount right on top of the dashboard, you can see the meter and still maintain a good sight of the road.

Don't believe me, go try it out.

So which one is more practical and safe?

I agree it is less fatigue and less strain on your eve expecially at night at highway where you need to check the speed... but looking in the middle have more neck movement and passenger (Expecially wife/mother/mother-INLAW) commenting on your speed is not really that safe...

Where got neck movement...unless your eye balls cannot move one. The center console is almost on the same level as the road so you can see the info without losing sight of the road. And don't get into those mother in law thing.

I can't believe people actually say the center console is bad. They are just so use to the old and cannot accept something new and safer.

I did not say it is not practical but I'm not liking it thats all....

I still prefer the cockpit design for a dashboard where instrument is within reach without over stretching your arm/hand/finger... I will support HUD... which the new Prius have...

FYI I do own a Vios (current model) and I know how it is... I much prefer the center dash on the previous model of vios with slightly facing the driver insted of facing middle...

hmm, these are older versions and also if you want to bring these up, compare them with their generation. during the e90 and e92 era, do you see any Japs that can beat them interior wise? no?

this is the current one :

okay, enough of sign0006.gif . the placement of the dashboard etc maybe strategic but what we are stressing here is DESIGN. its like the 70's all over again.
