hi everyone,

need to ask sumthing.

my tank average temperature is between 29-31 C and i really like to own a few RCS as a CUC for my tank.
how do i lower my tank temperature for the shrimps to thrive happily?

what is the temperature do they require to live happily?

cant afford yet a chiller, so maybe a DIY cooler fan will do? usually how much can it lower the tank temperature? should i use more than one fan?
any DIY user who had successfully made themselves their own cooler fan, plz help me.

one more think, i already put a RCS inside my tank as a test subject for a few days, so far so good..
playing happily but i think i need to do sumthing about the temperature first before putting a few more into it.
is the RCS ok or he is just abnormal since he can withstand the heat?
do i need to try to learn to take care of feeder/ghost shrimps first (since they are cheap) before trying to take care of RCS?

thank you in advance

saw on youtube, that if you cut planaria into multiple pieces, each and evry part of the cut parts will become an individual planaria?
wtf? or did i just watched some weird gameshow vid with weird creatures being cut in half and that creature is not planaria?

^ care to explain or post pics of the swimming insect? easier for the sifus to help you hehe
> this is just a guess, since im not expert in this kind of hobby haha,
maybe its dragonfly or damsel nymphs? or planaria? or cyclops?
or daphnia? hydra could pose harmful to fish and shrimp fries too.

so ure fishes are located in a pond? or by the window?
Oh Noes~ Thats a feisty little predator shakehead.gif
Sadly wildlife and ornamental fish & shrimps often don't get on well with each other i guess

also i saw this in mutiple websites:

QUOTE(AquascapingWorld)
The Siamese algae eater is even said to eat planarian worms, making them ideal additions to any tank infested with such worms.
not sure if it wil help though

^ hurm, i should stop buying shrimps la from them until their planaria issue is solved hehe

wonder how those white worms got into my tank lol...
some are 1cm long but thinner than thread, swimming happily in the water,
some just as big as a speck of dust just stick to the tank wall, moving slowly.. doh.gif

^mine was like you till
i made a DIY which was very easy and much cheaper compared to retail ones for my current 5G.
currently using x2 8cm diameter DC fans powered using x2 12V AC-DC adapter.
without fans: same like you 29-31
after installing 2fans = 25-26
after overstocking the tank with lots of fishes = 27-28.5 (26 during rainy nights)
*no aircond in my room*
