do you mean black colour soil or sand?RCS do stand out with dark background, but you need to add some soil as well if you have moss or plant.

anybody here rear blue pearl?why the shrimplets is yellow in colour?
i have another blue pearl mama but the shrimplets is brown...?

I also encounter 2 RCS shrimps die last week, CRS shrimps a few and 1 yellow, but my fire yellow seems blooming with lots of shrimplets.
Not sure whether its the water or not enough food/mineral.

I learn need to add some coral stone or chips to control the GH and add some mineral for the shrimps, anybody can verify this?
