just flashed the softkey mod to ICS , holy ... the implementation is nice !! single press to multitask is nice ! and it doesn't really take up that much screen space

now, hunting to change how my capacitive buttons behave heheh ... wanna make the home button to turn off the phone smile.gif

which version did u use ?? if not mistaken, the latest version doesn't change the dpi anymore so shouldnt be issue, at least based on what the dev says la haha

Edit
Just tested and you are right, papago as usual refuse to resize and doesn't run . However I changed the relevant folders to 480 x 744 and papa go runs! Albeit not perfect cuz the menus are somewhat blocked by the ics soft keys but still usable.

Lately I'm more relying on Google navigation rather than x5 though.

hmmm, maybe thats the problem.

from what i've gathered through the net, you have to at least be at 2.3.4 to upgrade to ICS without problem.

What i did was upgrade to 2.3.6 then ics, no problem so far.

Just follow the guide droid13579 posted here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2152959/+840#, that should get you covered wink.gif

actually i think in your case, all you might need is a full wipe aka factory reset. You should try that before even downgrading back to gingerbread.

The reason for the upgrade path was to make sure all apps and data are retained but since you already upgraded, nothing much to retain unless you have a nandroid backup when you are at 2.3.3. Then you should restore to 2.3.3 via nandroid, then follow the upgrade path.

anyway, like to share some photos of my 'carbonfied' Nexus S ass tongue.gif

Fits my needs very well as i hate the smudges at the back on the ori shiny black ass. No more smudges now and it doesn't really add any bulk or change the shape of the phone

ermm, sorry no experience on iOS , nandroid basically is a backup tool in your custom recovery that backs up the whole phone at its current state, including os, apps and data

anyway, of course you can downgrade but you need to make the decision

are you OK to factory reset and lose all data --> if yes, then no point to downgrade, just do a factory reset on ICS

if you want to TRY retain your data, then u can downgrade back to 2.3.3 and check if everything is ok. If ok, then follow the upgrade path and try ICS again to see if it still hangs on you.

can understand ka ?

owh,i dun care bout the data as its a new phone so i havent put any data on it yet..so now i can just downgrade it back to 2.3.3 and follow the step la?..already did factory reset on ics but it seems the same...
*
btw, what version is your current ICS ?

and since data is not important, you can reflash the ICS (try to download from trusted source like xda) or follow droid's guide i posted earlier

I wonder how you make perfect camera hole and those cover holes matched smile.gif
*
I cut those from the inside, means the stickers covers the whole back first, the I turn the cover so that I can operate from the inside ... its doable just need a lot of patience as you are cutting a little at a time

HI guys... just a question and I don't mean to be rude.. you see I have a nexus s.. and i purchased it the minute Maxis received the device in March 2010. My question is.. why is everyone so crazy about this phone.. is it because its super cheap right now and it has ICS? Is there any other reason to justify why?

If I were you guys and I would wait purchase the galaxy nexus...
*
of course everybody knows galaxy nexus is better than nexus S in term of specs but that doesn't make nexus S any less a performer

the reason for this phone ?? just look at the options you have here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=883

if you don't understand the options available above, you dunno what you have in hand tongue.gif
