Guys I have a new question. How to customize the background on menu there,the apps icon there after pressing menu, its always black, how to change? I need help thanks a lot

Guys, need more information on clockwork recovery and nandroid backup.

I read that, to install this custom recovery I need to root my device and restore factory setting...is there any other way do install this recovery? where I dont need to restore factory setting? What is the different of clockwork recovery if compared to the stock recovery.

And can anyone help to explain on nandroid backup? does it backup everything includes app? or just back up the previous version of firmware before I flash to a newer ROM.

1) You don't need root to install clockworkmod recovery BUT u need to unlock your bootloader which will factory reset your phone including the built in SD card.

2) Clockworkmod recovery is similar with stock recovery but offers more functionality such as mounting certain mount points, nandroid backup n restore, specific wipe for dalvik cache , cache or full wipes etc etc, and most importantly can flash custom ROMs

3) nandroid is similar Norton Ghost in PC world (dun know u familiar with that or not) . Basically it takes a snapshot (backup) of everything in your phone, including OS and apps. A frequent scenario where nandroid backup is useful is when u wanna try new ROM. So u make a nandroid backup, wipe your phone, flash new firmware then dun like it or its problematic, restore nandroid backup u made earlier, BAMM your phone back to how it was right at the point where u made the nandroid backup.

any 1 know what different between Max CPU freq and OC Value?

Don't missunderstood my meaning. What I am trying to say is 3G is for video call and phone call and 2G is for mainly phone calls...

I never state that Nexus S can make native 3G calls in first place

Just enable Google Voice Typing under Language and Input on Settings.

i enabled that edi..but when typing message..how to input your voices..any button?

Tap the MIC and it will come out a Mic with red ciricle. Just speak slowly and it will dictate your words to google server and convert into words.
