wondering anyone here bought the CFE 1.6 premium version without the optional accessories of 4.3K?

followed my colleague to the showroom this morning, she planned to take the CFE version without the accessories but the SA said its not possible..

it comes with the car

another way is to book at COE and Proton will charge you extra for removing the extras (accy package) because it is considered as customized vehicle. laugh.gif
And the waiting period is super long too.

So, in conclusion can we now categorize EB is under "kereta manja" ??

kereta manja? hmm.gif

To simplify everything, just treat the CVT as a manual transmission with a automated clutch. If you drive manual cars before, on slope if not enough throttle is applied and the clutch is released too much, the car will also roll back then the engine stalls. Its actually the same concept for the current CVT in all Proton cars, you put the gear in D but since you dint input throttle, it begins to roll back and when the clutch plate in the CVT is released, it stalls the engine. Of coz, a slight roll back wont trigger this action, it need to roll down some substantial distance before it stalls.

Another way to easily cause engine stalling is engaging R without completely stopping the car first. I personally tried this a few times... tongue.gif

sorry for looking like a noob

i saw a mudah ad says "NEW Proton Exora BOLD CVT 2012"

this CVT is it another name for CPS / CFE or a different category?

sorry again for noob question  notworthy.gif

CVT refers to the transmission. CVT only available with CFE. The regular CPS solder on with the 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual

CFE has two versions, one is the Bold and another is the Prime.

today test the balik pulau roads, handling superb! although i got a scare during some long downward drive, the engine braking activated and could see the rpm rise to 3k while feeling the car is slowing down.

the engine braking is always engaged whenever the car goes on a downhil gradient road. The steeper the road, the stronger the engine braking and also, if you slot it into S, the engine braking is a bit "neck snapping" too. rclxub.gif
