just now i surveyed proton service centre near my house. told them i was just surveying, so they showed me their service package. first service only oil+oil filter + drain nut.  the oil they use is 10-40 . i told them the service book says 10-30, they said no lah, exora usually uses 10-40. i said the listed oil is 10-30, then i asked can bring my own oil or not. they said can, but bring the ones that are available in the market, dont bring the ones that are sold by direct selling and stuff like that.  so i said ok lor. but im surprised that they want to push 10-40 when its clearly stated 10-30 in the service book

well, according to the service manual and the owners manual, its 10-30 less u risk voiding your warranty. and since the cfe was codeveloped by lotus engineering, i dont think those guys are dumb. so, regardless i'll stick to the factory pour.

jz wonder wheres the different btw semi synt n fully synt.
i jz know that fully synt is more last longer. but Shell engine oil had no fully synt 5w-30 available.

Wait till you have to claim engine warranty and then you will know void or not void. Legally, they have every right to void your warranty. I wouldn't advise you  bringing your own oil.

my gawd. RM92 for 370km only? that is super costly, for a 1.6L car. moreover majority of your travel is in highway.

i wonder the CPS FC will be better without turbo?

My friend nissan livina 1.8L, for RM80, can go at least 450km onwards.

fuel consumption. now im getting about 300-330 for every 50 bucks.

mine is like 11.2l/100km.
mostly city driving.
have to go through 4 levels of steep ramps everyday. guess that's part of the reason, huh?

my FC is around 470km@rm90... 80% hiway, 20% kl.... highway speed around 120km/h-140km/h, without using SAT yet coz i didnt know what is it before this... ODO right now already reach 1100km... will further study the FC when i travel Penang-KL again...

ok some updates and correction about my earlier post.
check my invoice from SC and it's stated 10/30. i suppose it's the same as manual's recommendation. when i mentioned 0/30, it was from memory and i could have been wrong.

got a question actually. the service booklet mention something about 5000km service interval and 10,000km service interval. the 5k interval is for heavy usage? i don't really understand what it means by that?

i was given the impression that proton with its recent badge is going for 10k service interval concept. i am actually planning for 10k service interval as well.

any problem with that? appreciate all sifu help here as i'm not a auto techie person.

The CVT howling sound is so loud when start to move from standstill. Once up to over 60km/hr, less so. Is that common on all Bold or just some?

Has anyone here already got Exora Bold Premium?. It is almost 3 months and I am still waiting. It is more frustrating when the dealer is not able to give an estimated date of delivery. All they say is " wait, wait ".

well.....the engine only off, other still can on, like light, horn etc....

the engine indicator was on, dat time....so i restart then all oks n i continue my holiday journy....hehehh

Manage to test drive both EB and preve today ;p
EB not bad, i push up to ~160km/h on 'kampung' road and it didn't shake much (still stabil, even the road is not as even as the highway plus ;p) but it can't beat the rear suspension system offered by preve (multilink)...
But one thing i noticed...both EB and preve kinda sluggish at the beginning...it start to have full pickup when the RPM near to 1.8-2K....is this the behaviour of the CFE engine??? Anyhow, i found out that preve more sluggish than preve...hmmm...any comment guys...

Guys, my EB fan dont usually spin after turn off engine.Sometimes that bother me scared if overheat. Last time it spin for 5 seconds and stop.
My neo aggressive driving when turn off engine the fan will still run for like 2 minutes max.

proton says drive slow; means? <120km/h ?
