QUOTE(karlbum @ Mar 17 2012, 10:48 PM) nak tumpang ke Kirie.. next time we stop by your place Yeap.MR_alien: yep I'm gonna go and change it by 5k... probably the SA was confused because the service booklet separates between Normal Service (10k) and Severe Usage Service (5k interval) ... so he just mention based on the booklet because i point out that the computer print out says next service is due 6k... my understanding is if even if we want to opt for 10k interval change.. it is better that we follow 1, 5 and 10k first so that the engine is cleaner.. |

yeah, it is slightly harder to reverse at night especially when its totally dark. because you cant see the rearview mirror, as the glare from the integrated lcd screen would just 'blind' you. wished they included a bit of night vision camera as well... a small led that throws out infra red, like the cctv cameras we have now days...
but apart from that, i have no complaints. |

the answers from wiki.answer suggests that a worst case scenario. its not everytime , the alternator and your internal bus would fry.
with the older protons, i doubt this is the case since i used to do it with an old waja and and an old saga. Added on April 9, 2012, 2:06 pmbut its something that im not gonna try with my exora lah kalau battery kong, i beli ganti terus. malas nak charge charge This post has been edited by ultramaman: Apr 9 2012, 02:06 PM |

apa giler letak coolant 100% ? nak engine rosak ke ? flush that shit out and put proton approved coolant with the CORRECT ratio. if not, anything happens to your engine , in the future, they will say warranty void because you did not use proton approved coolant at the correct ratio.

QUOTE(ir5 @ May 13 2012, 12:52 AM) 2) is it true that some people say, new car can't drive more than 120km before it complete the 1000 km (for the 1st sevice)? If we still do that, does it really gonna harm the engine? 3) is it true that the turbo engine (CFE), is 'manja'? what actually it means by 'manja'?? we cannot continuosly drive over than 3k rpm for certain period of time?? appreciate those experienced EB owners or car experts/mechanics to share the knowledge.... 3) didnt know about this. but i usually cruise on the highway at a constant engine speed of 3k to 3.1k |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ May 29 2012, 01:35 PM) i guess so, that is why im sticking to 10-30 for now. i got an fb pm from proton i care saying that 10-30 and 10-40 can be used. but im sticking to 10-30 . but one thing lah. 10-30 , is sooo thin... so post service, im adding revooil to it ( can buy from eneos , 28 bucks . ) i told my mechanic,, that some other centre poured 15-50, and he was quite shocked. |

QUOTE(jemmi @ May 29 2012, 03:15 PM) New small engine normally my mechanic suggested 5-30 or 5-40, after 100,000km then change to 10-30 0r 10-40. well, while u still feel like wanting to claim for warranty... i would suggest to stick to service center oils. just make sure they pour the right type of oil. if you are not sure what type to use, you can either revert to what is stated in the book(10-30) or pour 10-40 . if you bring your own oil, they would jot it down in your service records, and if on a warranty claim, they might blame that since you brought your own engine oil, the warranty is void because the issue is caused by something related to engine oil. ( at least with the local car companies, i wont take my chances.... )Normally I bring my owned Mobil 5-40 for service. Even my 1993 wira still feel smooth. Engine tip top but all other part 'goyang' already (macam nak tercabut). but yes, you can bring your own oil if your not comfortable with service center oils , or you can request the service center to pour some other oil. i know the one i go too, they carry petronas, shell and castrol. . |
