this is nothing related to country issue, so dont put it as a blame factor.
why ericng19 can get a replacement but u cant?
its more to mistake did by the branch manager, not country!
since when Malaysia put a specific rule, iphone set cannot have replacement?
come on. move on with your mentality.  doh.gif

maybe u need advise. talk to ercng19 on what he did

Exactly man! It's really narrow minded for people to bash their own country for something that an American company messed up. That's why it's so hard for us to reach greater heights. Our own citizens don't believe in the country =.=

Anyway, coming back to the topic, I'm quite concerned about the iPhone yellow screen. My Maxis set has that same yellow tint thing. Might change it and go for Celcom. Not sure if it makes any difference but if all else fails, I might get the Galaxy Nexus wink.gif

its as what we discussed last time, agreed by most of the forumer.
one source that mentioning yellow screen is bcoz of glue is totally ridiculous
Apple dont have any QC department with such a top-rank global company?

back to topic:
ericng19, so now u r using your iphone 4 or iphone 4s?
have got your replacement yet? is it 3rd or 4th replacement?
i believe u bought it more expensive since its from Singapore Apple Store rite?

QUOTE(sigheart @ Dec 16 2011, 11:12 AM)
I posted about this issue countless times already yet no one seemed to care.

Anyway the bottomline is a good iPhone 4S screen should be somewhere in between as shown in the pics. Not as blue as the one to the left and not as yellow as the one on the right.

Your yellow tint might be caused by the glue or its just a defective unit.

Personally my SG set was quite yellow when I first bought it but I've used it for 2 weeks now and my set looks really good now. I was at the launch as well last night with Maxis and my phone looks even better than dare I say all demo units that were on display even with an anti-glare film.

There is a way to speed up the glue drying process.

1. Charge your iPhone.
2. While charging, set brightness to max and off auto brightness.
3. Go to Settings and change auto lock to Never.
4. Go to any screen you desire and leave it.

Leave it for an hour or 2 straight and see if the color tone of your yellow screen improves. I've did this method for 3 days for a few hours each day when I found last week and the color tone of my screen improved tremendously.

Same here, posted this issue way back in V2 and V3 but everyone was too excited speculating about the date. Now they've got the phone, then they start to complain. Never do research, typical.

what can i say is totally regret buying over from sg, will never do it again cause i never knew apple products would came up like this, the worst part is the warranty, using bak my 4 now, cannot look the screen anymore, look at it everytime just got pissed off, currently sg has no stock, so i've to wait maybe another 2 weeks to go bak again to replace doh.gif if let says u guys getting it the same as mine, i might just sell it to someone else.

maybe we can request any user that have this kind of problem,
identify the model of iphone, and carry out basic analysis on this.
and we can post the result in the first page, so that everybody can view it as a general info.
i think its the best way to get everyone knows how they differentiate between glue problem or defect problem.
