Just maybe the contacts.apk is not compatible with your rom and will not start. Face it a few times trying out themes. Putting back your ori contacts.apk or do a CWM restore (like you did) will resolve it.But EFS disappearing can happen anytime as long as your rooted and not only when flashing. Sometimes reboot can also cause it so just have backups. Some people unplug from charger also can happen. |

Hey all backing up EFS is a good practice. But dun scare yourself so much. The amount of people reported having this problem is not high at all compared to the amount of SGS2 users on XDA. It is not something that happens frequently.
