my camera always freeze/hang, need to take the battery out to make it works again..

G user? Seen many G user complain camera FC or freeze but haven't seen any solution yet.

huhu..same case with me just a moment.normal restart but sudden screen blank (panic already...)
so try take off the battery and start again...fuuuu,back to normal.very scared me.i use fxcamera app.

guis..im new to the galaxy..i just wna ask if there;s any lighht or LED indicator if thre's new sms or miss call?
my old htc will blink 1..but this phone doesnt blink at all but i can see got 2 small hold beside the camera..any setting?

Yea, saw quite a few complaints here about camera and missing app icons. Mine is G (Android 2.3.6, not rooted) as well but the camera no problems at all (yet) .... the only difference I can think of is that I DON"T use external microSD card.

Anyway, none seem to reply me or try my suggestion >>> set the camera to save to internal memory and take our the microSD card.


PS: Not sure if it is the cause but trying never hurts. I had problem of missing all app icons (empty home screen) on startup sometimes ... took out the microsd card and has been fine for over a week.

i wonder if the 'Fix permissions' method in CWM can help force close problems. It helped to solve alot FC in my first few days of my CyanogenMod 7.

Yeah there could be a possibility of the external sd causing problem, but by not using the external sd is not the permanent solution. Samsung really need to solve the problem either hardware, driver or the camera app itself.

Non G got no problem using any storage internal or external. By right both model should have the same hardware camera which makes me thinks its either the driver in the kernel OR the camera.apk itself.

Added on December 15, 2011, 5:09 pmMost of the complainant are not rooted nor using custom rom. I dun think it is a permission problem. And by not being rooted i dun think they have this function at all to start with.
