hey guys, i have a question which has been in my head for some time now.

any of you know how to produce screenshot of phone like how LeoMar75 did on his CheckRom Revolution thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312240)?

see the Kitchen Pro Application screenshots. It is like a simulator which shows the whole phone with the screenshot displayed on the phone screen.

I wish to know if i have a shortcut way to produce them besides taking screenshot on my s2 and photoshop it to a s2 phone picture LOL. THANKS!

Don't think there's other ways other then Photoshoping it. Unless there's an app for that too? blink.gif
*
hmm i guess not too. would be nice if there is a website that converts our screenshots by uploading it & lets us download them back to become like that haha

G user? Seen many G user complain camera FC or freeze but haven't seen any solution yet.
*
i wonder if the 'Fix permissions' method in CWM can help force close problems. It helped to solve alot FC in my first few days of my CyanogenMod 7.

Yeah there could be a possibility of the external sd causing problem, but by not using the external sd is not the permanent solution. Samsung really need to solve the problem either hardware, driver or the camera app itself.

Non G got no problem using any storage internal or external. By right both model should have the same hardware camera which makes me thinks its either the driver in the kernel OR the camera.apk itself.

Most of the complainant are not rooted nor using custom rom. I dun think it is a permission problem. And by not being rooted i dun think they have this function at all to start with.
*
you are right. forgotten about that point.

No problem leaving gps on. As long as no app running is using it there would be no additional drain.

bro you are using CyanogemMod 7.1 on yr S2 ? What is the feedback like ? I always liked CM roms. Need yr update on stability and also battery consumption.
*
yup using CM7.1 Nightly #106. I would suggest that u flash latest nightlies as they are more stable than the proclaimed 'stable' release. Tested the stable myself too.

Battery consumption is nth great as it depends on individual usage. I'm a heavy user therefore i cant last 1 full day unless i off my phone at night.

However, usability wise, i came back to CM7 even after 1 day flashing other roms like CheckRom Revo v4, hydrog3n, and hyperdroid androidmeda. CM7 has all the things that I needed. U have to try it & judge it urself smile.gif

May I know what advantages cm has over samsung based roms? And as u know cm has no task manager and MyFiles app, can I do a titanium backup then restore on cm? Thanks.
*
Cyanogenmod has plenty of own customizations in UI, tweaks, keyboard, statusbar, etc etc. its hard for me to explain and it would be best if u could perform a nandroid backup of ur current rom, then hop to CM7 to test it for few days.

U might not get used to CM7 so fast but after few days of exploring, u will get a hang of how things work in there. If u find that CM7 is not up to ur liking, juz restore ur rom from ur nandroid backup smile.gif this should be the best way.

try to perform fix permissions using the terminal app in CM7. here is a guide, perform the 'terminal' method.

I don't think it really works. If it does I don't think it works that effectively.

+1. If it really works, i guess the efficiency will deteriorate after few weeks. might not be able to prolong the battery life after sometime? just guessing lol..

4) run as root
5) done?
