Speed - we're aiming to be fully operational by Feb which is about a month later than expected but I bought another company so funds were diverted plus location was hard to pick.

Wes - aside from the normal electric guitars, bass, drums and amps we're also trying to ensure that all the jamming studios have a pair of CDJ400s, DJM400 mixer and HDJ1000 headphones.

I don't forsee any additional branches as this is just one of my passion turned business. I have several other ventures running atm which are of higher priority. This is just something for those who want to spin but lack the means to do so

Hello guys,
Man it's good to see at least a thread that is dedicated to DJ-ing , turntablism.
I'm a malaysian that been in Australia for the past 6 years. Of cuz I have been back every year
but now i'm fully moving back for good and it's pretty sad to see a dead turntablism scene.

I'm no pro scratch DJ or what so ever but I'm hoping to share my experience and looking to do something like DJ TUTOR on youtube but of cuz more of the malaysian local style of talking etc. not so "angmo" feeling.

I'm only at par for scratching and hopefully to look for more ppl to do more advance scratching/mixing. I already got couple of ppl onboard and if you interested and got something to offer toward this "project" just keep in touch around here.

Few familiar 'names' i see here .. dj Sars, Ryo , leng .. all from previous DJ Ideaz's website .

I'll see you guys back in malaysia in couple of weeks

anyway my gears are

2 x stanton STR-150
1 x Rane TTM56 Scratch Mixer
Mixvibes Pro 6 Digital Vinyl Software
Sennheiser Headphones 25-1 II headphones
**Waiting to get New Laptop for my software
**Waiting to get Sanyo VPC-HD1000 for the "project" i mentioned

I'm also looking fwd to organising a DJ meet up somewhere around KL and hopefully a jamming session. Almost had one last time but couldn't get a proper place to host it.

Last but my least that I hope everyone will come together and educate each other and share the knowledge of DJ-ing.

Cheers.

i've checked on the skyline but etcm doesn't have the model in its list of imported vehicles. the highest range of sports coupe that we have is the fairlady. if you're interested, do let me know smile.gif

choong: are you the one choong from ideaz's forum? you have a v700 right, i think i remember seeing that in your avatar. anyway, it's good to see u here.

Wes - That is what I'm doing. Jamming and DJing in one venue. I'll let you know when its up and running.

Leng - Not interested in Fairlady, just sold my 350Z. You may have seen it around, it was black, had Volk GT-V 19" rims, Do-Luck kit and plates WJM8. I wanna build up my GTR collection at the moment, so far only have a 34 V-Spec II but once I sell my V9 STI Spec C then I'll get the legendary R32 and hopefully one day the new R35.

I just realised I'll have 12 turntables soon from the current 6 I have. Hopefully, I can contribute towards expanding this part of the industry that has so far been overlooked in favour of the normal jamming facilities.

Peace.

Dude,

I'll be honest with you. I've always been into music, so has my family. An uncle was a singer and my bro-in-law was one of the top guys at Warner until recently, when he left to follow Tony at the airline. Until now, I've only been listening to music, going to raves icon_rolleyes.gif but work has kept me from learning/picking it up until now.

So now that my businesses are OK, I thought I'd do something that I've always wanted which was music so here I am. Which brings me to my next point. If you guys know of any DJs who are interested in holding classes but lack facilities, then I'm interested in getting to know them. I know most of the big name local DJs have their own places, but surely there is someone out there just starting to make a name for himself who could use the exposure of holding his own courses and the funds as well. *sorry that's the businessman in me talking*

westokan , I'm using MixVibes Pro 6. It can support up to 4 turntable using one laptop but you have to get a 8 in -8out sound card. I'm using the ESI 4-in-6-out. So I can only run two turntables.

One thing good about mixvibes is that you are not bound to one price. You can have a very expensive setup which cost more than serato
or you can have a setup for only half the price of serato. So it all come down to your sound card. ESI u46DJ the company that has deal with mixvibes. another newer version to that soundcard is the U46MK2 which is a Mixvibes edition of the same sound card. better paint job, same spec.

www.mixvibes.com for more info.

westokan,I'm not sure where to get it in Malaysia. All I can say is it's hard to get. I even having problem getting the timecode replacement here in australia. I'm asking my friend to get it for me from US. I think you can try amazon.com for mixvibes. I think they now do post oversea.

erm maybe you would want to try torq. Sinamex is the dealer for m-audio torq. so easier to get support and spare parts .
