For that price, you can get pioneer's stuff. Try considering pioneer

Pioneer, as in CDJ 100 or 200 eh? They can't scratch right?
CDJ 400 price doesn't look cheap (based on online stores' price)
So it is really possible to get a Pioneer setup with RM5.7k (except the CDJ 100 or 200 set lol)

You can try to get a pair of cdj800 first then get a 2 channel mixer along with it.

It is something like a pair of Stanton CDJ = 1 Piooner CDJ800.
I do love the CDJ800, tried it at my fren's place. Quality,looks everything is there. While the Stanton feels a bit erm... plastic and not that sturdy.

Will be going Singapore this Saturday to check out those stuffs pricing. Wonder if i got the chance to go KL and check out KL pricing or not...

Ok, right now its possible to get two CDJ400s, one DJM400 two channel mixer and one HDJ1000 headphones - ALL BRAND NEW for about RM6k all in.

I have the price individually someplace but for each set thats about the price. I'm gonna get 3 sets for people to use at my studio and the price is RM18k for 3 separate sets.

Which IMHO is reasonable considering what my set-up cost. Even a pair of CDJ1000s and a DJM800 will cost nearly as much once you factor in some monitors and decent headphones.

I might put my spare pair of my CDJ1000s and EFX1000 as well for some people to use (ie: those I'll come to know soon enough)

So that bedroom djs can play and broadcast it through web, not everyone has the opportunity to play in clubs or bars anyway..Just my opinion, maybe we can make it happened.

last time i used to put my mixes on www.transmissionfm.com before my free space hosting was finished.
aiming for www.afterhours.fm if i can manage to get mp3s legally & hopefully to get good connection to the station admin.

but now i'm so busy i think i will forget about those radio stations...even my series has long overdue.
i feel lazy la lately....lots of good tunes coming out this year, not like shitty 2007 where most of tracks has at least an electro influence.

To host only one dedicated malaysia internet radio is almost impossible. But if you want , you can always host it yourself. couple of years back it was a big thing. Hosting with winamp and couple of software , you can broadcast from your PC .But it take times and quite limited to words of mouth for the advertising. If someone want to come up with some money, they can pay for server to host these. and mixes can be played 24/7 online. Want to take it to another level? then you can become the host DJ on it.

i was thinking more of podcasts. for local music news and music.
