1 turntable = Beat
2nd turntable = accapella ( for vocals and scratching ....)
3rd = to mix the new song in ...

so live remix ...

Choong, about the session in on any scratch mixer, boleh letak benda lain ke selain another battle mixer in series?
mana lah tau can put effector kit or guitar effects ke....

i don't get it .. ... what session ?
i forgot what the name but my Rane TTM-56 has the port for effect pedals or effector kit .....and can control the amount of effect it can put on the audio ...

To connect an effector to an 07, it has to go direct ie; mixer master out -> efx -> amp

Session-In: can be used to plug in other instruments like mics (if you ran out of mic inputs),guitars but won't work for effectors

not suitable for karaoke because it doesn't have a echo effect which is good for karaoke ..
but of cuz it's ok if you just want to do it for fun .. or MC-ing over your set ....
the other day i was in Genting and walk past a club , the DJ was "singing" ... and it was horrible and spoiling the songs .. like OMG WTF ....
if he would to rap .. it will be better but not singing ... it was so out of tune ... LOL ...

so if you going to MC over your set, please don't sing unless you got good vocals ... other than that.. you can say a one liner or rap ... which will sound good without the echo effect ...

don't get me wrong .. i didnt say u cannot use the mic over your set but use it appropriately la ... if you are a DJ ...you are a DJ ... you "TALK" to the crowd .. not SING ... if u can SING ... better be a singer .. ... most DJ will do one liner vocal .. or they rap .. but .. i don't think they should sing ... especially those songs with singing vocal ... in hiphop songs ... they should just .. cut off the volume and let the crowd sing it instead...

as a dj you shld let the music do the talking. you're not the emcee... you're the dj. DISC JOKEY... not singer not emcee but DISC JOCKEY. unless there is a raid and such you'll have to make the announcement.

leave the rapping to the emcees. as for Djs with a mic, i think they should only use it to emphasize choruses, or complete the ends of the lines of the rapper's verse (but usually they got a hype MC to do that for them)...besides to communicate with the crowd of course. i have yet to see a DJ/MC who can spin records on the decks as well as rap his entire verses at the same time. would be pretty hard i think.....

yay!!! i just finished my statistics final exams. so relived. i hate maths and stats. so i was so happy when its over. and last night i was studying from 9pm till 3am (last minute la nih), and i din pay attention in class (your typical slacker in class, which so happen to look like a nerd too!! )... guess what??!! my lecturer checked my paper and say i only got 3-4 wrong out of 60 questions!!! ahh so terharu...

and yeah today after my stats exam, i walked to my car and guess what i saw on my windscreen??!!! (not summon la choi!!! ) i saw a flyer on this new club opening at sunway lagoon resort. looks like zouk is gonna have a major competitor here. This isn't some no name club, just buka out of nowhere, but this is a worldwide frachising superclub and its homebase is nonother than london itself. Thats right folks, we now have a MINISTRY OF SOUND in Malaysia voted as number 23rd club in the recent top 100 clubs in the world djmag.com survey! (surprisingly zouk in sg top MOS in the rankings, oh well but who cares) Yes!!! Finally some good quality house tunes and quality soundsystem not some cheapo behringer subs (conspicously coloured bass) ... (Btw the club's name is called EUPHORIA by MOS). So I guess its kinda like Squire by Fender. lol.

The club mainly plays rnb and House music. Opens on the 2nd on July 2008.
