Walk up liao. nicely ask back liao. Also till today no answer.

FF Personal Trainer only get paid a basic of 1k++ saje....

Can't pay off car loan and house rental also  laugh.gif

I don't think anyone want to work for FF for 1K++ salary. The foods around Paradigm Mall, Curves are fairly expensive.

Their basic salary may be only 1K++, but they also have the commission if not mistaken, depending on the no of their clients.

If your main concern is budget, then by all means goes for other gyms. I know celebrity fitness and true fitness are much cheaper but they don't have branch in bukit tinggi....but each have their own cons...there is Chinese saying, paid one cent more & you get one cent extra value.

In between, gym is not the only way for exercise. the better and cheaper way is in fact do exercise on your own at your home, garden, badminton court, public swimming pool etc. but you need more discipline. You will work out more healthy fresh air environment rather than inside the air-con compartment.

To be honest RM7 per month is not that much of an increase, but it is more of the reasons they gave for the increase when I feel my home club hasn't been given the necessary upgrades even though it is a Platinum club. Although I am a passport holder, I recently switched jobs to be nearer to home so I only go to FF Klang Bkt Tinggi these days...

That said I concur with you that you get what you pay for and you pay for what you're comfortable with smile.gif

Yup, I also think the layout of GF takrs a bit of getting used to and I'm sure I won't enjoy their GX classes as much as I do the ones at FF based on various feedback I received, haha...

I checked with some newer FF members and some didn't receive emails on the revision. Am wondering if FF just targeting some of us older members that joined last time when fees was cheaper...
*
If you do join celebrity fitness, do bargain for the "special prices"...different member has different prices for same category of membership.

Some members paid RM19X, RM17X, some paid RM15X...I also heard some paid less than RM15X. CF admin is less systematic compare to FF.

Actually for me, anything above RM150 per month makes it unattractive to switch from FF...

RM15X and below need "special" arrangement by the membership consultant. No everybody get it.

Wow CF also quite mahal leh. Fee is almost on par with FF. I thought they are more similar to TF price hmmm.
*
CF price varied among members for the same package.

In between, just a question...does sweet_pez work for FF? biggrin.gif

The reason why I ask is because someone ask me this funny question.

Coz I think they saw how Gung Ho you are promoting FF, haha...
I think at 17x or 19x, I'll just bite the bullet and stay with FF, ha ha ha. Anyways, they won't reveal their fees structure over the phone, keep insisting I go over there, ha ha. Do they really think they can convince me more if I go over and view their facilities? From the outside looking in, they do look kinda small (CF, AEON BIG, Bukit Rimau).
*
I did not know I was promoting for FF all this while?! shocking.gif But I personally prefer FF than other gyms.

I did said something negative FF before....ask you to join other gym if budget is main concern.

In between, if it is small CF outlet such as SS2, then the fees would be lower. The fees I was talking about is the passport members that entitled us to visit all CF outlets. Home members fees is lower.

You can check on this thread:

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/817206/+2680

It has all the pricing for all type of gym membership.

Not for now, but who knows in future? Aye hmm.gif

No way for me.

No sure about office staff but for Operation Staff in the club:

1) Long working hours. 7 days a week open from morning till late night. But they work on shift but still long working hours;

2) I don't like to mix my leisure place with my working place. FF will become not a fun place to work out anymore since FF Staff will become my boss and colleague.... can be approach/ pressure by boss/ colleague for work related matter during work out time. They have their own KPI to meet which can be challenging.

3) I heard that FF Staff entitle for free membership but that's only RM200. Might as well work in the property developer which entitle me to purchase their property at discount. Property prices can go up in future as well depending on demand/ supply.

So I've checked out both GF Bukit Tinggi and CF Bukit Rimau. And now I have to compare it to FF Klang Bukit Tinggi as these were the only 3 clubs that I would frequent more now given my current working/living arrangements. My conclusions are as follows (1 for first and 3 for last): -

Price : 1. GF 2. CF 3. FF (Big gap between GF and the others, between CF passport and FF passport, not so much gap)

No. of available equipment: 1. GF 2. FF 3. CF

Newness of equipment: 1. CF 2. GF 3. FF

Cardio equipment availability: 1. GF 2. FF 3. CF

Free weights area: 1. GF 2. FF 3. CF

Member Lounge: 1. FF 2. GF 3. CF

Locker and Shower: 1. FF 2. CF 3. GF (CF also uses electronic card system, no need to bring own padlock)

GX class (Les Mills) and schedule: 1. FF 2. CF 3. GF (Although CF and GF have RPM Studios, FF doesn't)

Parking : 1. CF (Free) 2. FF (RM1 for first 4 hours on weekdays) 3. GF (RM2 per entry)
Special mentions:

GF has a cool rooftop TRX and Muay Thai studio and jacuzzi

FF is the only club that offers free flow of soft drinks and coffee

This particular CF is a very small club and has no steam room
*
So, what's your conclusion? Which gym you would like to join?

So how much is that GF and CF prices that they quote to you? For CF home membership in Bukit Limau should be lower than FF since FF bukit tinggi is the plat club.

The newer CF outlet do have the electronic card system for locker..old outlet I am not sure whether they have upgrade it or not.

Suggest you look into following as well:

1) machine and building maintenances;

2) crowd in the gym especially after office hour - it it too pack or very empty? type of crowd? etc.

Get the 7 days trials and get a feel of it. Read it somewhere that CF still have the RM48.00 groupon offer to 1 month membership

Actually i only found this out way later when i was with CF. It got on my nerves when new members who just joined (some who are my friends) were paying RM10-20 lower than me when i've been a member for 7 years. Worst part, the gym was getting very packed with the RM48 promotion on groupon & major renovations were ongoing at the changing area (5 bathrooms, 2 toilets and no acesss to the steam and sauna left during renovation for nearly 6 weeks)  rclxub.gif
*
Can share which CF outlet you worked out? The restroom should be quite awful.

Since you are there for so long, why you did join their diamond members? It is only available few years back and now no more already.

I still have friend who worked there and they basically only paid less than 100 admin fee once a year to maintain their diamond membership. It used to be RM3K++ many years back, after than I heard it increase to RM5K++...2 years ago I heard it increase to RM10k++ and now no more already. But may be can get it transfer from some other members.

The other draw back is that you will need to stick to the gym for life and there is no guarantee the gym can go bankrupt one day like Yoga Zone. 2 years ago, I heard TF still have these type of membership.

Hi all, what is the membership fee range for FF 1 club?
*
My friend just join in paradigm mall. RM179.XX

Older outlet like axis is around RM10 cheaper.

There is no 1 club membership for plat clubs like curve, empire subang, 1MK, BBT....must join as platinum members for these clubs.

Also, I spoke to some FF GX trainers before, they told me FF is the lowest paying one in the industry, ha ha ha. But they still stay on as their training and development program for trainers is better than elsewhere.
*
Yeap. Group GX instructors' paid is one of the lowest. But some of them are really good and classes always pack.

I myself not sure why they don't move on to other club.

Actually my conclusion is FF is better, but I'm craving for a change - something to get me motivated again after a mini rut... Can call it my seven year itch coz this is my seventh years with FF ha ha ha...

Am leaning more to CF Bukit Rimau now coz it's very convenient for me to drop by there and workout after work before heading home... Also, I like the RPM Studio... Big and many bikes available. The GX schedule seems a bit better than GF and quite suites my timing. I may just take the home membership and may upgrade to passport later if I think I will utilize the other branches...
*
Bukit Rimau CF is still quite new and facilities should be quite okay.

The CF classes are different from FF since FF is more towards lesmill program.

CF classes is a combination of lesmill program + many rojak classes such as latin dance, energy aerobic, capoeira, mtv style etc. They have many different type of dance classes. Some instructors are from brazil, spain etc.

Ok la, not too bad, as long as they have BodyPump and RPM, enough for me, coz that's about the only 2 classes that I regularly attend.
They say because FF training and development for GX trainers particularly for lesmills is top notch, miles ahead of other clubs coz they put more emphasis on those programs.

If I do sign for CF then my dilemma is whether I should cancel FF or just freeze it in case one year later I have regrets, ha ha ha...
*
The fees during the freeze period is 20%. For plat member is RM200x 20% = RM40 pm....so it is not practical.

Anyway, I don't think they will allow you to freeze for 1 year. That's too long.

Go for the Groupon package. You have 1 months trial in CF and that's more than sufficient time to access the gym suitability.

Subang Parade. I did not take it at that point because i was still a student and i was not sure if i will be in Malaysia/overseas. Yes and it was really worth at that time, i still know a few who are under that membership. The last i heard it was almost Rm12k.  biggrin.gif
*
CF previously only have 2 or 3 outlet when it first started, 1 u, subang parade...but now they have more than 10 outlets....So logically the diamond members prices should go up accordingly.

Being there few times, do the members still throwing around their dirty towel in the rest room without returning to the towel counter?

How's the equipment and machine there? Are majority of the machine/ equipments functions properly?

Yes FF is more clinched towards LesMills. They are one of the strongest when it comes to GX. In fact FF has 1 presenter for each of the program.
FF is quite strict in terms of quality of instructors. I heard it's not easy to clear the training because the head teachers are quite stringent.

When an instructor says he/ she is from FF, any other club(s) will take them in without question. Not sure how true since it's hear say, hear say biggrin.gif but if another club's instructor want to teach in FF, he/ she is also subject to clearance by the head teacher.

*
Before forummer start to said I am promoting FF...

No all the instructor in FF is good although they have passed the test. Some of them know the technique well but just don't know how to motivate the members in the class.

So it depends.

Hahahaha! Give newbies a chance, it takes time to take up the practice. Everyone gets better with more classes they teach. Those who can motivate well are usually instructors who have been around some time or those who have taken the advanced module. The advanced module stress more on coaching/motivational side.
*
I only know their classes make me yawn.gif .....feel like want to cabut after few tracks...only less than 5 ppls in there...

May be they can improve in future.

Sometimes but now you have to exchange your membership card with the towel. Therefore, most of them return it biggrin.gif

Equipment and machines are acceptable although some barbells have not been replaced for years.
*
No sure what's the different between the previous practice of returning the white numbered towel card together with towel....then the counter boy give back our membership card..... some members manage to bypass this process without returning the towel....may be they requested more than 1 set of towel or the towel boy tidak apa attitude.

Anyway, it is good to heard there some improvement made. thumbup.gif

Don't want to reveal the name here. But some instructors are not longer "New".

It depends very much on how they delivered it.
