I had an iPhone 4 Black 16GB from Maxis with 14 months old as well, last two weeks I sold it to lowyat forumer @ RM1600, but since you're selling to your brother-in-law so consider the price would be lower than mine?

***Remark: With 10 months warranty left also since I subscribe 24 months contract.

can a person purchase outright 4s when he or she has iphone 4 with maxis?

1) as long as u already register ur interest/ get the confirmation email from maxis. The iphones 4s color/size considered reserve for u according to u ROI earlier on. So it just matter how long u need to queue to collect ur iphone 4s.

(it stated that u cannot change ur model of ur phone, as they already assign the particular model u ROI earlier on) if u guys intend to change, try ur luck on the launching date.

I am planning to sell off my iphone 4 to my brother-in-law since I am upgrading to iphone 4S.  There is ~ 10 months left out of my 24 month contract with Maxis.

Can anybody suggest a recommended selling price of iphone 4 ? What is the normal market rate for a 14 month 2nd hand iphone 4 ? The phone is still in good condition.

as mentioned by adrian23, no outright purchase on launch date. unless you plan to buy it after 16th, they might have. not really sure.
