Ha Ha, I slowpoke and just tasted massimo bread today. Surprisingly the bread tasted better imho, tasted more like the bread I bake myself, smells good too. My complain is the crust is too hard.
Before this I mostly bought hi5. Gardenia imho tasted too different from the homecooked bread, it has the peculiar bitter taste that I can detect. |

Gardenia response:
QUOTE We would like to respond to the recent circulated slanderous e-mails and text messages (SMS) by parties whom we believe with ulterior motives and a lot to gain by using racial sensitivity and politics to their own end. sos rotiAllow us to post some questions: 1. Does any politically influenced company has posters (refer below) in their office? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 2. Does a political crony company has senior management team of qualified professionals all racially diverse? 3. Does Gardenia, at any time, get any special treatment or contracts? The fact is: Gardenia took pride in being everything that a good Malaysian company should be. We employ highly professional ethical people regardless of their races or religion. Competitors have tried time and again through underhanded means to exploit uninformed Malaysian with falsehoods for their own gain because it is just too difficult and will take too long to compete professionally and on fair grounds. Gardenia’s senior management team is made of qualified professionals. We promote racial diversity from the management team to the ground level. The ingredients used in Gardenia products are purchased from suppliers who can meet Gardenia’s high quality specifications at competitive prices. Please forward my reply to your friends and do include it in your facebook/blogs. Don’t allow them to be used by unscrupulous parties. If you need further clarification, please call Koh Chin Huat, Hazlinah Harun or Lavinia Anthony at 03 – 5542 3228. Thank you. Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd |

QUOTE Jadi kita sokong la buatan orang kita. lol wut?Apa roti buatan orang kita yg berjenama? Boleh sebutkan tak? Saya tak taulah jenama roti yg buatan org Melayu Islam kita. Selama ni, bnyk jenama roti yg saya dengar & tau adalah jenama dari org bukan Melayu Islam spt High 5, Gardenia, Hawaii, Mighty White.. Dlm paper Mingguan Malaysia hari ahad 10/9/2006 semlm ada keluar berita pasal penafian pengurusan High 5 yg mengatakan bahawa roti High 5 dicampur dgn minyak yg diimport dari Israel. Yg menafikan tu, pihak pengarah urusan yg dipegang oleh org Melayu Islam. Apa ni? Dah nama pun Melayu Islam tapi guna bahan yg Haram dlm makanan, Islam apa ni?. 2. AJI NO MOTO Aji No Moto keluaran Thailand, Indonesia dan Vietnam ~ haram ~ bercampur lemak **** Aji No Moto juga disahkan oleh doktor mengandungi MSG (Mono Sodium> Glutamate) berlebihan yang boleh mereputkan daging dan menggugurkan rambut dengan cepat. Bagaimanapun produk Aji No Moto keluaran Jalan Kuchai Lama (Malaysia) disahkan bebas dari lemak ****. 3. 6. Tetapi perkara yang mendatangkan was-was eloklah kita tinggalkan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fikir2kanlah wahai rakan2 sekalian. |

QUOTE(Faidzal @ Dec 5 2011, 02:02 AM) down with bernas. so u prefer gov handle this?why must a govt. agency be privatised to one person and given monopoly rights? before bernas was privatised, it used to be called lembaga padiberas negara. bernas has the sole rights to import rice into malaysia, totally unfair! good luck eating your rice on future. |

Not only that, Beijing government gave RK the exclusive right to develop a whole street of 5 stars hotels for the Olympics in 08. I had the privilege to meet RK at a pool while he was swimming in Shangrila hotel with his bodyguards (at least 5) watching closely. Very fit for an old man and very humble man for such a wealthy and successful person |

QUOTE(khelben @ Dec 5 2011, 12:01 AM) Sounds like, we should stop supporting a wealthy man and support another wealthy man. at least one person has some logic For now I'll be having Massimo. If it indeed go up to the same price as Gardenia, then I might go back to the latter. you don't like bn, you vote out. commision earned for BN by gardenia is like toilet paper compared to our toll money. get massimo because of the taste, or because of the value. that'll send a much clearer message to gardenia. if gardenia dies, bn/mokhtar will just pump in more money = more of our tax money, who will butthurt more? |
