Probably the metal clamp of the stand is painted black instead of chrome... It was with Tereus...

so black means re-run?

Yes.. most probably.... need people with re-run Deunan for confirmation...

My 1st issue (Deunan & Briareos)'s stands were labeled 2007 while Tereus' was labeled 2008

I'm picking up my Deunan at XL tonight.... but the metal clamp of the stand for my re-run Briareos was in chrome if i'm not mistaken.... i might be wrong... need to check tonight to double confirm...

i got the re run deunan and the metal is still chrome...
guess there is no different at all

why want to check whether re-run or 1st issue? one easy way might be as BeastX stated the bottom of the stand year, or an official receipt for those who still keep it.

Btw is there any obvious difference in quality for the 1st issue and the re-run? cause both deunan and brerios is 1st issue, would like to know the difference though.

rubber on the armor chip? for 1st issue or 2nd re-run?

Cause i remember the 1st issue also need to open and check all boxes to ensure you get a good condition set and to make sure no rubber wear during production.

I know some shops doesn't allow you to open and check thats why depends on luck.
I came across a few that have quite bad rubber wear on both figures. Due to the fingers nails of those packing the figures in during packing rush.

This problem goes same for the batman figure.

Bro noisetrigger will know what i mean, since he and me also very busy checking almost all the batman boxes when it arrived in xl.

My Deunan came with 2 eye patch/scope thingy... Patch it on Tereus, so he and Deunan can have a matching eye wear

I got the batman figure and on the left side of its abdomen the rubber its like dented in. The shop salesperson open it up and see whether it can be pop it back but the rubber seems to stay at it is. One of the batarang clips is also dented in. They change one for me and upon checking it looks ok.

Big questions is behind coz that would need to remove the whole item. Not too concern of behind as there is the cape....

quicksilve - are you saying some shops do not let you to open and check on the spot? That's risky for a RM400+ item. Better stick to XL then...

i understand when shops dont let to open to check before purchase. same goes with ordering food in the restaurant, order a steam parrot fish bills come RM200, the fish..average only..we cant ask for refund. thats my 2 cents

I heard of a court case between a customer vs shop XX. cant say the name.

Customer buy toy. toy got problems. customer sue toy shop for not able to exchange. toy shop wins the case.

I think XL will sell it off somewhere i guess. coz i know manufacturers like hot toys dont do exchange with distributors if there is a defect.

yup better stick to XL when it comes to buying HT figures. i got a very bad experience with area51 in 1u last month. was buying megatron mp05 asked her can open see or not... told her confirm buying. she replied pay first then only open for me. wont be going back to that stupid shop anymore!
