nah, I guess if a player still plays for us, we should back them no matter what.  Whether it's Kalou, Malouda, Torres, Ferreira or even Bosingwa.

Who knows, once injury strikes us, they could be our only option to rely on.
*
well that wasnt the case, it is normal for fans and even manager to have problems with players. did they got the backup? i dont think so, its just the problem is not made public or is being covered

and often i see malouda, bos, nico n kalou got their "warmest" back up here

Still, I hope AVB don't clear out too many players in January, can ruin the flow of the team.

If want massive clear out, then summer is the best time.
*
Spot on. January windows is always a risky time to overhaul a team. I will only allow Anelka and Alex to leave our team. Kalou, Malouda, Drogba, Bosingwa should be useful for the season. At least as reliable backup.

Those who watched Valencia match, did valencia really keep the ball so much?, just saw the possession stat, Valencia's 69% to Chelsea's 31%

Now we must prepare for the most important part of the BPL season. 6 consecutive league games in 20 days. This is where we can make or break our title chances.

AVB just copied Mourinho style of football yestde. Valencia had 68% of ball position and Chelsea just happy 2 sit back n counter attack. The likes Ashley Cole nvr bother 2 cross opposition centre line.

This is the very reason Abramovich sacked Mourinho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you think torres is the coach's choice?
its abramovich's. i wouldnt be surprised if he is being sold by next season or next year's january.

and just how many more season will he only be able to settle in?
admit it, he's just another flop just like sheva
even if he scores, i wont say "wow torres is finally showing his true form" and support him. he will never settle in and will not even be a consistent performer while he dons the blue shirt

sturridge is the man to lead the spearhead, and he did ask for a central role as i recall
after drogba gone, i reckon he will play in that position left by drogba, until we find a replacement that is dangerous enough
*
Torres will never be the Torres he was in the Red shirt. Blue just doesn't fit him. Seeing him play in the CC defeat, his face showed it all. He'd rather be anywhere than in Stamford Bridge.

i'm truly glad we are through to the next round. congrats to the lads and the gaffer. when will uefa make the draw for the second stage of the competition? i have a sneaky feeling we might get milan or marseille as our next opponent. whatever it is, just bring it on. KTBFFH...!!!

Maybe..we never know..for sure we chelsea fans taught he forever gonna be red..but now he is a blues..nothing is certain..He'd rather be anywhere than in SB? Not so sure..but I'm sure that he no longer want to be at Anfield.. rclxms.gif tongue.gif

I'm sure AVB just used mind game on Valencia coach.

Before the game, he said he won't play counter attack, only focus on quality short passing possesion game.
Then when playing, Valencia must be expecting an offensive Chelsea instead of defensive one.

Btw, our round of 16 opponents :
Napoli, CSKA Moscow, Basel, Lyon, Marseille, Zenit St Petersburg, AC Milan.

Easiest would be Zenit or CSKA, but need to travel to Russia. Just hope we avoid Marseille or Napoli.

And AC Milan too, they're pretty strong.

Oh, interesting, did AVB say that? We played wonderful counter attack football against Valencia, one of the best for years.
Both Manchester went to Europa to bully small teams. laugh.gif
AVB>Mancini and Ferguson? Oh well blush.gif
