But remember, Cech also made a good saved from Sandro deflected shot.

Overall, it a fair result. And it worth to stay up watched this game. Totally better than Wigan. For Torres issues, I think January is the best way for him to show his worth. I still believe he can recover and be a great striker again

to be fair, ferreira was good and bosingwa suprisingly solid at centre back. we got a busy christmas period coming soon. i hope mikel and ivanovic are not seriously injured...

After injury, Cech not the OLD Cech plus no competition for place for Cech. Remember he said years before that he need to work harder when see Cudicini training very hard to challenge him as no 1 keeper. I think Thibout Cortouis need to recall ASAP

oh cudicini how i missed him. dubbed as the black spider back then.
from the look of his face i knew he's the kind of hardworking person. is he okay now or still recovering from the bike accident?
why isnt turnbull n hilario stepping up to challenge cech?

i think the result is a fair result for both team. we are a bit unlucky with the 2 substitute that we are forced to do. hopefully it is only minor knock to iva and mikel.

just loved to see how romeu play. distribute the ball well and did not hesitate to have a go when the chance arrives. however, i am a bit worry with the buy back clause in his contract which is after 2 years if not mistaken. he got a huge talent.

draw is a fair result, let's admit we're not going to catching City with this crop of players. not that i'm being negative & critical but top 4 seems to be our realistic target. Spurs, Arsenal & Liverpool are really strong this season competing the European spots.

one way or another, lukaku must stand up and start contributing as much as possible. He was bought to score 20 goals a season, to replace Drogba and partner with Torres. Expect him to score headers at every game. Drogba and Anelka may go and Lukaku can't just sit down there doing nothing. He must shine!

A pass to COLE that result in STURRIDGE goal + 1 on 1 through ball for RAMIRES, nothing much to shout about as this the lease we expect from DROGBA. Most would agree he did OK.

But that is not the point, i just want to point out how unfair i feel KALOU and MALOUDA treatment compare to TORRES. I would agree 15min might not be much to do anything but when is TORRES, fanboy defend him, but if is KALOU or MALOUDA sure kena curse kao kao. doh.gif but their performance the exact same, NO IMPACT sub.

haha. maybe he's like me who doesn't really support any team, instead just love watching football games and/or loves particular players instead of any team. anyway chelsea must really buy this january, because I team the current chelsea team is now pretty stagnant

Hi chitchat, regarding the Kalouda and Torres situation, I got to agree with you honestly. Most of our mindset are completely different, how we look at Torres, how we look at Kalouda.
But one thing for sure, Torres proved himself in Liverpool, which was a phenomenal player.
Kalouda both had their moment during Carlo era, but clearly, their workrate, their desire under AVB era was really terrible. Almost everyone can see that.
If we talk about work rate, Cole and Meireles were fantastic today. Drogba was poor with his work rate, perhaps he's aging, but we can see the desire into him. He tried. He wants to contribute, He wants to score. He wants.

And so, AVB sub Torres in for the tired Drogba. I bet AVB told Torres not to dribble much to avoid losing possession. But really, Torres was slow. I wonder why he became so slow now, he used to run extremely fast but he never done that in Chelsea yet(Maybe done once or twice, but I couldn't recall any). His pace, was his most unique ability, just like Drogba has his physical strength. Torres need to find back his pace really.Slim down project? He looked a bit thinner this time compare with the last time I saw him though.

The player that I worry the most now is actually Cech. Ugh, I wonder it's just my stupid instinct or what, but he looked really poor. His reflexes are still okay(as he saved some couple shots), but his ground save, corners, goalkicks, especially goalkicks were poor! Totally out of place.
Oh and one thing, it looks like our midfield need Romeu, we looked extremely disjointed with Mikel in there.

We were surprise that bosingwa was solid after move to CB.. perhaps should we retain bosingwa position to CB.. seemed we have not enough cover for CB... Hopefully january we able to get a good RB from market.. fews ideal target, but i don think AVB will be getting them.

kalou= making the game much hard for us. proven on many occasions on this season alone. 30mins on pitch only altho first 11, that penalty against valencia oh well the list can go on and on.

malouda = first eleven last sizen, now on bench only (that oso depends..sometimes only..sometimes not in the list ok)..it seems AVB does notice something there, maybe u dont agree but certainly AVB do agree w it as well

same goes to lampard = bench, no function in most of the games. i dont say all games yah.

same goes to torres.

however compare to the first 2, THE MANAGER himself declared torres is much needed in the team plan (with lampard oso). not for sale summore.he's not saying goodbye torres or anything.
fans are all abt talk, manager have the final say afterall icon_rolleyes.gif notworthy.gif

espn news choosing to focus on the apparent 'handball' before cole put in that lovely cross. he wasn't even looking at the ball for God's sake. they even failed to point out we held out a very good tottenham side with only ONE natural centreback. don't think that many teams are capable of that icon_idea.gif

coming back to cole, i was delighted to see the quality of his delivery for studge. let's face it, ash hasn't been putting in those type of accurate crosses for a looong time. overall i guess it was a fair result as both managers had to deal with forced substitutions early in the match. harry made the wrong decision by removing a player from midfield and bringing on another striker. they completely surrendered their dominance after that. AVB took a risk by slotting bosingwa into CB but boy he's pretty decent there isn't he!

what about that last ditch block from JT though? fantastic piece of defending with the media circus and crowd all over him. ramires's missed chances have been touched on, and if he got us the winning goal he would've easily been the MOTM. however my award goes to meireles who ran non stop and put in some important tackles/interceptions all over the pitch. he looked shattered towards the end but kept on running. lampsy u want to know why you're not starting? have a look at a recording of the 90 mins.

who else but studge gets us the goal? perhaps it should've been his second after mata's stinging drive was spilt by friedel. good performance from danny as he got the goal, but him and mata's impact on the match could've been better.

i wouldn't mind turnbull / hilario getting a start vs fulham actually. this is cech's second big mistake in a row and maybe its time to give him a rest as well. light a fire under his belly and see how he responds. its one thing if you're an outfield player making mistakes, but if you're a keeper who's a direct cause for goals conceded it becomes a whole different problem. i think cudicini has recovered, but seems to be third choice now.

drogba had a decent game, looked threatening on occasion and could've had an assist for ramires. better than vs wigan, definitely.

i'm not sure how different the treatment is, to be honest. i think the trio of kalou, malouda and torres have all come into some severe criticism from fans at various points this season. come to think of it, EVERYBODY has including AVB himself. i can point out about three standout players this season who have received constant praise from everyone though : studge, mata, and ramires in that order. lately there's a new favourite as well in the form of oreo! biggrin.gif

p.s : if luiz isn't fit, chalobah vs fulham anyone?
