If you have read my earlier posting about how to get your Iphone 5, You would have got your units long time ago. So maybe you could read it up and stop ranting here about not being able to get your phones. I'm pretty sure a lot of people who read and followed has already gotten their IPhones already. whistling.gif

Correct me If I am wrong,

From what I read in forums around here, why some walk in customers can get their phones within the day and always have stock when pre-order customers like me have to wait so god damn long for my stock to arrive?

I think this  is a little unfair, as because, Maxis should reserve those limited stocks for those customers on the long waiting list, because they pre-ordered it earlier, and some even paid the deposit and sign up for the plan while waiting for stock.

As for my case, I register myself on the waiting list 2 weeks ago, and they have not even contacted me for my phone yet. When I called Maxis,  and they boldly told me the whole of Klang Valley ran out of stock for the 32gb model that I ordered and can't even tell me a probable date of arrival for the  next stock intake. However as I see from this forum, certain outlet do have stock coming in from day to day, which contradicts with their statement. Why are they not rationing their stock accordingly?

I could have no qualms and wait patiently if there is genuinely no stock, but I do not see that happening through browsing this forum.

I know this is not within your control as you guys do not represent Maxis, but could anyone here who knows more about this matter could kindly clarify me on the real deal behind this kind of act.

yeahh sounds like something fishy here..my gf in the wating list and have to wait for few days..but how come u guys can get within a day?
*
Nothing fishy here / either with Maxis. It is just that their 123/customer care consultant will probably/mostly not updated with the stocks level of every branch.
You either get yourself the contact of the desired Maxis Centre branch, and contact the person-in-charge.
Otherwise, just follow the advise/latest stock level update from fellow LYNer, to get your iP5. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I am just curious to find out while pointing out a flaw in their system, after all it just serve as an alert to others and for any maxis personell reading this thread. Thanks for the great tip in between. rclxms.gif

In my case, maxis told me that when the stocks are available in the center, they will inform me. Day by days, I walk-in to Maxis center without any call by Maxis. Who knows plenty of stocks.

Btw, Selayang Center.

This is one of my points when I raise a big hoo-haa at CapSquare on Fri launch couple of weeks ago. The staff on-the-ground can't give me a satisfactory answer, and no senior staff is putting their head on the chopping board (to take up the responsibility).
I stand my ground and escalate all the way up until a senior takes up the responsibility, that's Chris C... and it's settled. icon_rolleyes.gif I got it the following day.

You need to raise it up tactfully and escalate high enough for someone who will take action to call you back. The person must be Maxis direct staff. Not agents/franchise/etc.

@frozzbyte,
Thanks.. the problem with Maxis is that they give you all these extras but they don't tell you how you can activate it!

notworthy.gif I admire your courage! notworthy.gif. There should be more of you in this world. What you did there was something that I should have done. The problem with people like me, is that we take this kind matter lighty till Maxis can push us around.

What I did was wrong, I should not go to another center to get my I-phone, rather I should stand still and ask like you did! I may not get my phone on the day itself, but at least get a satisfactory answer not an open ended one. It is a matter of responsibilty by Maxis towards their customer.

Thank you for educating me on a valueble lesson.

Use the phone to dial/call the number *136*9#
Then wait ...
Then click Reply , type 1 and Send.
It'll show the quota used.
