well, i reformated my lappie and yet no changes. now modernwarfare lags whenever i put my settings at high sad.gif have to play at low settings. i guess i am one of the few unlucky ones who has the throttle problem :/ by the way, am seeing some improvements using throttlestop, but not all the time.

You can use MSI AfterBurner - Settings - Monitoring, everything under 'Active hardware monitoring graphs', tick to 'Show in On-Screen Display'.
Then just leave it running and start your game, should have some data on upper left screen..

Found a nice simple review about G53SX from techgage. Not exactly the same model in Malaysia but might be useful info for those who are planning to buy this laptop

Depends, If u would be upgrading the GPU and CPU next year, i dun see a problem exchanging it. However, do take notice the GTX 560m is more powerful than HD5850m and ur Sandy Bridge is more powerful compare to Clarkfield.

want to ask since you all using full hd screen in 15.6 screen how does the fonts looks like?, i know the window space is bigger and you can open more windows but how about the icons?.

Is it comfortable to use lets say compare to 1366x768 on a 15.6 inch screen?

tq

ok, i have tried to get the readings of my fps. it fluctuates randomly lol and it gets around 30-40 fps most of the time, sometimes going as low as 20. below is the graph that i took a screen shot of, and all this are done on Ultra Level, Modern Warfare 2. Its really unbearable to play at this settings sad.gifuser posted image

What about the GPU Clocks/Usage? Fluctuating as well ?
Throttlestop log? Does the CPU Clock/Usage fluctuate as well ?

This is with Throttlestop, doesn't improve much but it stays more on 40fps and doesn't really fluctuate alot. Omg... A G Series Laptop that cannot support Ultra Settings for Modern Warfare 2.. wth.

The GPU USage doesnt fluctuate much, most at the time at 89-90% but this is on ThrottleStop.

OK, without throttlestop, GPU Usage fluctuates to around 50+%-90+%. wth is this??

What option you ticked in ThrottleStop?
Using High Performance in Power Management/Power4Gear ?

I would actually prefer HD, as thing will look more clearly compared to FHD. Icons looks smaller. For document/web browsing, HD looks better infact.

I think u need some of the "G users" to hands on experience and troubleshoot on the spot. Try ask around if any of them living close to ur area, or meetup at somewhere.

From my look, ur GPU may look damage/faulty in a sense that throttlestop doesn't help ur frames.
