Don't dream. DIGI despite being a major telco...DON'T HAVE A PHONE LINE CONTACT FOR THEIR SHOPS. Basically, they don't want to entertain people, that's why. I just have a nice chat with DCHAT on how useless they are. You have to Walk-in. Like how they do it in the 16th Century.

So if i want to sign up phone plan, the store no stock, i have to run all over the state one by one just to see which store has stock. Brilliant. Just Brilliant.
*
Unbelievable isn't it? I once went to DiGi Times Square to sign up for a one-day promo. The system was down, they asked me to return to check after 2 hours. I asked for a number to call but they don't have one. So they expect me to hang around for 2 hours but the system could still be down after that! And they could not extend the one-day promo even though it's their fault I couldn't sign up and I had to stay there all day. When my contract expires, I'll take my money to Umobile.

QUOTE(bornd @ Dec 3 2011, 06:09 PM)
yeah.. i did chat with online chat..
they said still need to come with the owner to change it.

I just hoping if there will be some other way to do it. Besides, I don't care if i need to pay the balance if needed as long I can get the number.

Online chat is hopeless, forget about them. If you're lucky, they don't know what you're talking about. If you're unlucky, they give you wrong info.

Changing from supp line to main line can be done with a letter of authorization from the main line owner. I've done it before at BTS (I'm a supp line holder). If your main line owner cannot be reached, you'll have to be resourceful brows.gif know what I mean?

Hello DiGi experts,

I have a DiGi primary account. I want to convert a Maxis prepaid under someone else's name to be my supp line. What are the steps? Ask here better than ask at OCS. Thank you.

QUOTE(Ash14 @ Jan 3 2012, 07:48 PM)
hi bro

1) you and your Maxis holder friend MUST go together to DiGi Centre, tell the CS that you want to convert your friends maxis number to be your supp line. Need to pay rm30 if im not mistaken (DiGi family postpaid advance payment)

2) DiGi CS will register your friends number to be under your name as you want that number to be your supp line, you will receive a sim card and then need to wait around 24 - 48 hours the transfer process.

3) If Maxis approved, they will terminate the number and you can use the same number as your supp line, just insert the DiGi sim card. Done

Last year i did this kind of process to convert my gf Celcom number to be my supp line under DiGi, number still same 019, but under DiGi.  thumbup.gif
*
Thanks for the clarification.

I'm thinking it's easier to just get a new DiGi number for my supp line. I was told by DiGi the RM10 access fee per month supp line is not available anymore, now it's just RM30 supp line inclusive of some free calls and SMS. Is this true? I don't want RM30, I want RM30 and pay as I use. The supp line is for calls and no SMS, no data. What's my best option?

Just registered for a supp prepaid number to be used by someone else. How do I check the balance and expiry of this number using my phone which uses the main DiGi number?

Hey. Is it me or is DiGi's data line unstable these days? My phone goes from H to 3G to H. And sometimes totally offline. Anybody facing the same thing?

As very much expected after all telcos have a limit for their users.
So, no point keeping DiGi anymore.
My signal keeps dropping in the office. Two days already my phone went to SOS call and SIM Card Rejected status without me noticing.
That's is, I think I have been patient enough.
*
Same case with mine. Phone went offline and online constantly. Can't call out, people can't call in. Asked OCS, was told upgrade service taking place at my area, expected to finish on 11/04/2012 or earlier. No compensation. This is unacceptable. Asked for a list of areas affected, was told no such info available. Sorry DiGi, will be porting out when my contract expires.

The recent upgrade service rendered my phone unusable for calls! Cannot call out and people cannot call in! No compensation! This is unacceptable! Can I complain to consumer tribunal? Can someone point me the way? Or is it for MCMC?

Same here! From 2 bars in my phone to ZERO coverage after their stupid network maintenance!

I'm done with this. Going to port to CELCOM or MAXIS.
*
You should complain to MCMC. I did, and requested for compensation. DiGi called me back and agreed to it.

Thanks, will do so. May I know how much did they agreed to compensate you?

What were their excuses for the 'no coverage' issue?
*
The no-coverage was from a service upgrade, which they announced earlier. But I never thought such upgrade would render us unable to call out or call in at all.

PM you on the compensation.

Hi,

Would like to ask about termination of my current digi smart plan.
Im left with 10mths contract and how much is the penalty I need to pay if i terminate it now?

Did some research on the DG website but dont really get it...
*
The last time I asked OCS, it's like this. I use 1 example, HTC Legend, RRP RM1999, they sell for RM999 with 2 years contract. If terminate with 4 months left in the contract, the penalty is RM266.67. Put your own figures in bold to calculate your scenario. Or give us the details and we calculate for you.

DIGI SMART PLAN PENALTY CALCULATION
---------------------------------------------------------
RRP (Market Price) X RM 1,999.00
Special Price Y RM 999.00
P Savings (X - Y) Z RM 1,000.00
End Contract Date 5/9/2012
End Contract Date - Today (months) W 4
End contract date – start contract date (tenure) V 24
Administrative Fee S RM 100.00

Formula (W/V x Z)
Calculation 4/24 x 1000
Result RM 166.67
Administrative Fee + RM 100.00
Final Penalty Fee RM 266.67

QUOTE(turion64 @ Apr 26 2012, 07:58 PM)
guys,

today i received a sms from digi saying one of my FnF number has been terminated. I did not request for the termination. Any explanation?
*
Check if your friend is still with DiGi. Send this SMS to 2000:
CHECK [Mobile Number]

Hello everyone.. The situation is, am I can separate my friend supplementary phone number by doing this alone, by step in to any Digi authorize dealer plainly without bringing anything (just me alone)?
*
Cannot. You at least need your friend's photocopy of IC and a letter with his signature expressing his permission to let you become a standalone primary account.

Anyone have any idea why can't I connect to any network in Singapore? For some reason I can't connect art all. Before passing immigration the only changed I did was turn off mobile data as not to use it. Never got any welcome messages to Singapore what so ever. Tried restarting phone few times, but useless. I'm on digi i plan btw
*
I used to have roaming with my old plan. Then changed to new plan, they didn't turn on roaming for me. Was stuck in another country, had to find wifi hotspot and email them to turn it on.

hey guise need someone to clear my confusion,

if you get a good digi coverage in ur area, any reason why wouldn't you buy a phone from digi plan? i find it mindboggling for people to opt for independent phone nonetheless. Maybe the 2years contract is too much to take in? any thoughts pls.

Thanks all.
*
It's worth getting a phone from DiGi if it's a new phone and you don't mind tied to a contract. Older phones have dropped in value so it's not worth it anymore, like now S2 is RM14xx so the savings ain't that much.

Either i cant call out, or cant receive call, or the voice quality is seriously bad, cant listen a word clearly from the other end  vmad.gif

Me facing problems in Kota Damansara. Breaking connection, can't hear the other end. Once in a while get lucky and have perfect dialogue. Heard they are upgrading service AGAIN.

QUOTE(crusher @ May 27 2012, 06:40 PM)
Hi all,

Currently I on DiGi Ambassador plan with 3GB. While I got this seem to be better offer by Maxis.

Differences between these two: -
1) DiGi Ambassador
Free call to DiGi numbers up to RM50 every month.
0.12 cent flat rate to all network
0.10 cent SMS to all network
3GB every month at only RM34
Monthly bill, usually I will use up to RM90+ including the calls at least.

2) Maxis
RM50 commitment fee
0.10 cent flat rate to all network
0.05 cent SMS to Maxis / 0.15 cent SMS to others
Unlimited data usage without quota at only RM68
Monthly commitment RM118.

Not really interested in the data plan, as I just use it to browse social medias, and some website such as LYN forum not even youtube. I am thinking whether to change to Maxis or not because of the poor connection of calls. I always face drop calls, as my job need to make alot of calls to client.

Please advise. smile.gif
*
Since your requirement is making good calls, I'd say try out Maxis... a telco service which can't even provide good call quality is really a failure... but, before jumping ship, ask around and see if those using Maxis are having better luck at calls or not.

Does it cost anything to request a micro SIM from DiGi to replace my regular SIM? Can get at any DiGi center?

EDIT: never mind, did it already. It costs RM10 to convert to a micro SIM. The micro SIM with its bracket can be used in a regular phone. When you want to use it in an S3/1X/4S/RAZR, just break out the bracket and you're good to go.

Today my colleague MNP to Maxis. The staff said, "let me guess, you're from DiGi?". To think that 2 years ago, people MNP from Maxis to DiGi by the boatloads... now the other way round...

My bf now using the smart plan 68 with family plan 50, I am his supplementary line (family plan 30) as well. The prb now is I wanna to sign for smart plan 68. SO would like to know whether have another solution to save cost.. Maybe cut off the family plan 50 & 30, just use smart plan 68 for both?
*
If you don't need 3GB of data, what hown said is the better option. 300MB with free calls between principal and supp. If you and bf both take RM68 smart plans, also can. No more RM50 and RM30 for RM68 smart plan, just RM68 + whatever you use.

This can be used for many other things as well. A few years ago no one cared about the iphone but now everyone want one like it's some kind of holy grail left by jesus
*
No lah, iPhone example not correct. 2 years ago where got people go from iPhone to Nokia, and now Nokia to iPhone. iPhone is relatively new. DiGi is not, it's a good telco 2 years ago but now has degraded to such a level that it's expected for its users to go elsewhere.
