Oh yeah 3930K 5.0GHz at 1.5v hit 72c core temp when stressed with LinX at load. I will try to get a proper screeny later.

This chip is roughly 10c cooler than my golden 2600K at 5GHz. Btw my wc set is around 25c better than Corsair H5O, just in case if u wanna compare with a high end aircooler.

The Corsair H100 is a respectable cooler, but to get the same temperature as a custom WC rig would require the fans to run at 2k+ RPM which is extremely loud. Sooner or later Corsair will release H120 (low FPI dual rad using the same rad on H80 laugh.gif)

i manage to get 5ghz@1.49v setting but seems nt stable..

1) the error that occur at bsod is non related with oc..
such as 0xbe 0xc3 0x9c and 0x7e this error does nt indicate that i need to add vcore or vtt/qpi or ram timing..

so does this shows that i cant go for 5ghz?

What is your temperature? If it is below 80 and it BSODs that mean you can still go higher with higher vcore. A "stable" OC will run till almost thermal shut down temperature without BSOD.

Alamak! Sorry to hear that. Fortunately it's not the 3960x. I dont miss Z68 UD7 after selling it lol. They really should improve their bios. The multilevel LCC is just a joke sad.gif

Nah, bro Owi's rams are gray market, no warranty on those from us tongue.gif but his CL8 kit is from us biggrin.gif

The other 2400 CL9-10 kit happens to be reserved by another forumer here (not me, I cannot afford it...I can afford to see customer use them only doh.gif). You can still grab the CL9-11 kit and wait for the CL9-10 but it will likely be a few months wait for the second kit. Of those rams we received earlier, about 20% already sold out today brows.gif

again with question...its look like the chances for me to boot up on 5ghz are high if i let the processor rest..

so ive come up with this conclusion..

lower temp processor gives u higher success rate on lower volt per ghz?

2700K has the same fate as 2600L, average 52X max, 54X is hard
it's all about draw of luck nod.gif
