Hi everyone, was searching for workout journal and found this forum so decide to join. smile.gif
I'm 20, female.
I start to workout this week to burn my fats, especially areas at belly, arm and thigh. But I don't really know the correct way to burn it.
Do I actually have to lose weight first to burn fats? I'm 47kg but really short, 150cm. wink.gif
It makes me looks shorter when my tummy and thigh is getting bigger. Here is my journal ;

2/12/2011

Breakfast
- none - (still sleeping)

Lunch
1 slice of bread
1 fried egg (1nhalf tablespn olive oil + 1 teaspn butter)
half can baked bean (ayam brand, the smaller one)

Tea time
4 cubes of Toblerone white chocolate (can't resist it)
1 piece IKO sesame oat calcium cracker
roughly 6 grapes

Workouts
6 mins warm up at 5.0
55 mins walking, 1.0 inclined, speed 6.0
- 303 kcal
- tried to run but low abs pain, probably stitches, so stopped. even if I run also can't run for more than 10 minutes, low stamina i guess

Squat jumps x 15

1 hard boil egg
another half can of baked beans

*All drinks plain water

Please correct and suggest me. thanks smile.gif

By only looking at the diet, which looks like this :

2 slices of bread
2 eggs
1 can of baked beans
White chocolate
A cracker
6 grapes

This is what you eat on a daily basis. Your thoughts?

You should list down what you normally eat instead.

Thoughts on your workout, you need some weight/resistance training to go with it. Don't judge how many kCals are burned based on the machine, it's inaccurate.

If my main goal is to burn fats as in get flat tummy, smaller thighs, etc.. do i have to do cardio 1st or warm up and straight do the resistance training? given that I maintain my calories intake

alright, thanks for replying guys.
btw, is this true? searched it online.

For long, slower exercise, fat is used more for energy than carbs.

i always believed doing a mix of everything when it comes to cardio. slow, HIIT, sports, intense, etc.

ask 10 people on the best way to lose you'll get 10 different answers.

I subscribe to weight training first, then cardio.
To tap into fat storage, you need to deplete glycogen storage first. Your body always uses carbs for energy first, there is no way you're going to tap into fat storage when you still have an abundance of usable energy.
