1) can you check for Hybrid Hot Water System, is the heating plate made out of metal? Does this metal heating plate in contact with metal water tank?
2) is heating metal plate using thermoelectric Peltier effect to heat water?
kindly refer page 1 for Seers methodology. 2) is heating metal plate using thermoelectric Peltier effect to heat water?
anyway, its not metal, its ceramic.
ceramic plate heats up copper tubing. copper tubing (red stripes) coils up stainless steel tank which in turn heats up the waters stored in the stainless steel tank. cold water comes from bottom of tank.
no contact = no electrocution risk
how ceramic plate can transfer heat to copper tubing is Seers's trade secret. as mentioned before, the Polyurethane plays a vital role in heat loss.
