poslaju this few days quite slow, usually next day arrive. maybe because of last week holiday, tons of backlog to clear.

My parcels from Japan reached KLIA on 6th September. Now one is still at 'processing' status in Mail Processing Center, and another still at KLIA, from the last tracking on 7th September.

My parcels are Registered SAL, is that why they are so slow at processing?

So far I never heard tax apply to export item. Insurance depend the courier you use, destination and value. If you sending using poslaju, better go to Poslaju centre not Post Office. Only Poslaju centre will know the insurance value.

Buyer will have to pay custom tax (if any) for their country. Make sure you stress this point to the buyer to avoid any surprises. Each country has their own import rules. Your job is to declare the item and the value properly.
Insurance is optional, not by default. Without insurance, courier company will only pay up to a certain amount (Pos Laju is RM100 IIANM). If you think you do not want to bear the risk, buy insurance.
