then what about cutting the water thru like moses?? thts something gotto do with the "flower" of the tire rite?

Yup.... for water displacement, the treads of the tyres (aka tyre flower... not those QQ or Wakaka or Danok type, ok???) are responsible for this.... thus you will see find diff tread for diff tyre properties.... uni-direction la, V type la. etc...

Me not good in explaining, pls go google or wiki tyre treads patterns...

Threadwear high = longer lasting tyre... 300 is very good already. Performance road type usually 120~180

guys, i dont understand this.

205/60/16 = ori

normally can find 205/55/16 = 3% off

215/55/16 = 1.4% off.

so 215 is more suitable? but will it make my tire look very fat?

my old car 175 change to 185, tire very wide, and very hard to get correct alignment done.

no la, the tire always vibrate at high speed, everytime i rotate tire and redo balancing need to go back shop do balancing minimum 2 times to get it right.

one of the shop owner said my tire too fat is the problem ( but i dont trust him and i never go back to his shop, he refuse to do it again for me, mh.)

btw, go left is very normal for peugeot, merc, bmw etc conti cars biggrin.gif

Treadwear = lifespan of tyre, the higher the longer, but usually also means the louder as they use harder compound to make it last...

Traction = braking distance on wet roads measured in a straight line.... rated from AA, A, B and C.... AA being the best lor.... this is usually directly in relation to Treadwear, as longer the lifespan, the harder the compound, the worse the braking distance lor...

91V = index of load (max weight the tyre can take) and Speed Symbol (max speed the tyre can run)... so 91V = 615 kg of weight (per tyre) and max run speed of 240km/h lor...

So buying tyres are not simply about 225/45/18... the type of the tyre (as per above markings) is more important as they tell you what is the max rating they can take, and you should match this to your driving style and habits....
