I wanna ask them did their diecast manufacture in China and send to Germany and assemble then send to us?? Totally brainless comparison with the Swiss made watch...

derrick: AA has been bullshitting for the last couple of years with their "sob" stories. I suppose they saw the SV selling quite well(I think) and then realise they could charge more. But then, it comes a point where it's not worth it anymore when an Elite new release or Kyosho(apart from the Ghost) can still cost RM350 or less instead of RM500.

I'm really starting to consider not purchasing AA anymore. There are other brands out there thats more deserving of collectors money like Welly, Maisto and Norev.

underarmour: Nice Range Rover! Always wanted to add one but can't find one reasonably priced. Lol.

Ah! Increase again! f*** lah! Like that people will either quit 1:18s and migrate to 1:43s or go to resin straight. AA is not fully immune to design errors anyway...

Well, I've got good and bad news for u guys..

Good news: Due to the recent price hike again by AA, many of us fellow collectors are once again promising to boycott and stop buying AA models.. On theory, this is certainly a huge savings for everyone's wallet.



Bad new: Amidst these price hikes, sooner or later you still will be buying their models once again..

Just ask yourself this..

How many times have they increase their price?
and how many times we have retaliate against it by saying we will stop our purchase?
and how many times, have we put the price hike aside and continue our passion for models back again?


Bottomline: unless we lose these passion for model cars, if not, the numerous times of price hikes from AA will not seem to hamper our purchase for model cars as our hobby i reckon..

marcus: I've always been fine with their other price increase but now it's starting to get to a point where it's ridiculous. I mean an R35, which retailed for around $100 not so long ago, is being re-released for much more without any improvements at all.

Sure, like you said, most of us will still probably buy their models. I'm definitely looking forward to their V12 Vantage and LP570 but then I'll probably not enjoy them because somehow, it feels as if I've been cheated.

And for me, I'm okay with not purchasing any AA model because, all I really need is the HWE line. hehe.

True man. Lucky I don't buy AA stuff.

Gee & Jay: high-5! the irony is, 90% of my models are kyosho and HW elite.. hehe! but i do understand the pain of price increase for models..


why not? 5-6 years ago HW elite Recommended retail price in SG was SGD89.90.. fast forward, and they're at SGD169.90 for the basic models..


AA collectors, you're lucky lo the increase only by a few dollars..

My collection all mostly from AA

i'm going to stop collecting AA....dunno can tahan for how long..probably switch to 1/43 and focused more on 1/64 Kyosho/Minichamps

Later AA price same with BBR or MR.

Luckily I'm more into 1:43 now. 1:18 only on 'special car'.

yes... i POed from him 2 weeks ago. Mine is with display case.

new arrival..this morning 1 box....just now...2 boxes....so both BBR arrives. somebody will said laopan....inside got 1 SLS AMG coupe.

Yup... Definitely agree with all of u... I will stop hauling AA after they launch the Lp570 and Z-Tune...

Rather go for Kyosho which have better quality yet their price still the same... why kyosho never increase price like AA?? Wasnt both also having factory at China?? AA is just too greedy!!

Marcus very true also... haha But if Kyosho or HWE do release more model then definitely will stop AA!! I like SG style boycott them... haha
