Hi guys wta this phone is it good enough without rooting it bcs I'm not good at all this technical thing.. Want a phone that take out from box and just use it. Wanted the iPhone but the screen to small for me. So might be going for this. I'm asking this bcs my friend say android phone want to turn off 3G also must root the device he said this phone not for me. How guys???

Icic thanks guys bcs I don't know anything about android till yesterday walking in gardens mid valley & saw this beauty the screen is really good bcs I use phone to do a lot of surfing Internet. How is the battery life for you heavy users? Will maxis be launching this phone with package soon???

No, you can turn off the 3G Data feature easily without root the device.

i used pdair leather case for my old window phone before..the case is lasting, and inside is like a pouch to slot in type..and after sometime, the side of the phone got many hair lines due to upper part of the side is not covered .. and i notice nowadays, pdair case use just the 2 hook to hold the phone from both side or maybe above and below also got some holder i am not sure.. it become even more expose thats the reason i don buy any pdair case anymore..and i do agree that it add bulk to the phone.. make the phone become fat..

sgp leather case is slim type which provide better protection at the side although might not fully cover also.. venus is also another one which i like..these 2 brand's leather and build quality is premium..melkco is a bit lose in term of quality but since is cheaper a bit.. but for overall full side protection, i cant find any case which is better than those tpu case or silicone case..

you can happily use android out of the box. heck, no need to even install programs on your computer (like say iTunes) to copy/ sync files...

if you rely a lot on Google, then all the better. if not, still good to go out of the box.

anyway, heavy users should be quite happy with note. i'm quite happy... with the note, i'm quite confident the battery can last me 12-14hrs... tested it on the first week as i was doing 'battery conditioning' then. however, now when i'm in office, i keep it plugged it (via usb on my computer).

maxis... very, very unlikely they will be offering any more samsung products. someone commented they have removed all samsung products from their site -- too lazy to go to their website and check.

I've used sygic as well, and by far this gps app has the fastest lock on satellite. also i travel to sg using sygic and no issues or hiccups at all, minor complain is because i tinted my car with vcool so the signal not so fast, but when i wind my window down then no issues. worth the money i paid for it.

seriously, no one knows what maxis will do in future. but the way things are going, its very unlikely they will launch Note. maxis is not known to be last to bring in a phone... note is already sold by digi and celcom.

i tested Map Quest and 30mins drained something like 15% of the battery. btw, MapQuest kinda sucks...

i also don think maxis will bring note so late..they are busy with ip4s now and the other 2 telco also the same..that will be another big event for them..perhaps after that, galaxy nexus will be coming after with some big event and offer..don't let the shine totally cover by ip4s..

yes bro you must have a car charger at least if you are on a long trip you wont run out of battery. can you imagine driving in a foreign place and ur phone is dead? it'll be very interesting.

definately agree, i remembered there was one time i forgot to bring the multi adapter, then my charger could not be used to plug into the power socket on the wall.. i had to use my phone for 4 days there... so just switch on to check any sms or miss call alert, then off few time a day.. its really a great experience without phone pro: quiet and fully free from touching the phone, cons: when bored..cant play with the phone, feel so weird like something missing..

yea for me its good out of the box no need for flashes or anything (i used to flash my SGS a lot and now idont)

me too, i just root it this time to install the app which required root..

the only reason i would root is when i need titanium backup XD
