Open up the back plate, then keyboard. Or you can use air blower to blow the dust. Make sure you don't let the fan spin.

i7 720QM to i7 920XM? (RM800)
Pro : Benefits CPU intensive games
Cons : Using a stock 150W ac adapter with 6970M plus an extreme processor may overload it

or

500gb HDD to 120gb ssd/500gb secondary + caddy? (RM565 + RM69)
Plus : Cheaper than CPU upgrade option
Cons : May need to buy enclosure for the orphaned dvd drive/buy new slim external dvd and both will add more cost

Which is more worth it?  Use : pure gaming high FPS.

I will go for SSD.

i7-920XM effect in real life is not quite significant if you place side by side with the same system that have SSD under the hood.

But of course, SSD play a very minute effect on your gaming experience and basically none regarding the gaming quality increment itself. Just loading will be faster a few seconds.

I think you really should straight to at least GTX560M or ATi HD6870.

Hell, even GTX580M and HD6990 is possible.
