Waaaa...i didn't know it.....Just formated my M17X R3 with factory image recovery....success...back to day one...

Ok, received my M17x R4 this afternoon. Here are some photos I took with my mobile.

Initially, I thought the one I bought is without 3D because of the super discount I got from my friend. But what a surprise.
The 3D goggle is there

It is the 3D Vision 2. Tried with some 3D test clip. The 3D is very pronounce and look so real. Better than my 3DS,lol.

Hey guys, I just get a M14x with 64GB mSATA + 1TB HDD.
However I wish to boot drive windows using mSATA.
Can anyone teach me how to do this? Thanks lotttt..

I tot 64gb msata ssd will be boot drive from factory? only the small 32gb will be cache drive. Guess I was wrong then

Btw, what backpack do you guys use to carry m14x ? Orion 17" is the only alienware backpack available in Dell Malaysia and its so huge for tiny m14x

I am still waiting for the backpack to come in from Dell. M17x definitely needs one or its not going anywhere.

Yesterday tested with Sleeping dogs benchmark, with everything on high and 3D enabled. It runs silky smooth with average fps stays on 55++.

i upgraded my m14x r2 to windows 8, so far no problem, like it very much

Planned to upgrade mine soon but a bit worry about software compatibility. Any idea which 3D player is good for Nvidia 3D vision 2?

not sure about 3D.

For windows 8, before you install it, the assistant will run a test to check compatibility and if any software isn't compatible, you have to uninstall them before you can proceed the installation.

The upgrade is easy, you dont need to reinstall anything, just simple installation + restart.

As right now I'm using alienrespawn as my backup and already backed one copy in a thumb drive.

If I upgrade to Windows 8, do I still keep the alienrespawn program? Thanks.
