wat do u think about i5 2430 vs i7 2630 in terms of gaming? worth paying extra rm700 for i7 2630 processor?

i5 should be sufficient if you have a good GPU but just choose i7 for a long run, if your budget allowed.

Max will be 32GB, but it just plain overkill. 8GB is enough as I never utilize more than 4GB during gaming etc.

Hi guys, I'm planning to get a m14x soon since my laptop just officially died 3 days ago. However, there's something confusing when I'm customizing the laptop on dell official site.

In the website, there is 2 different spec of m14x. The only difference is their processor. The price of the one with i5 3210m is RM 4499 while the one with i7 3610qm is RM4999. However when I change processor of the RM4499 one into i7 3720qm the price only increased to RM4803 which is still cheaper than the RM4999!

So my question is if we can customize the RM4499 one into better spec than the RM4999 one and is still cheaper than it, Why would anyone want to buy the RM4999 one? Is it an error or typo in the dell website or did I miss something?

Besides that, when I customize the RM4999 m14x, I have to add RM 186 to change the processor from i7 3610qm to i5 3210m which is suppose to be a downgrade right?

Yes, i've seen that problem too........! If wanna buy, buy it now....... Later Dell discovered it and u'll have to add more money.....!!

Wow! Do you guys notice the price of standard spec for Alieware M17x R4 increased from Rm5,599 to RM6,699 this morning? it is a big jump!

yeah...the price increase yesterday...m14x r2 also included...rm4899 increase to rm4999...

any different for these two m14x beside the spec...?

I foresee this will come since weeks ago.

There is no way in heaven Dell will stay with that steal price.

huge disappointment for me. found out that my m14x r2 audio distortion is due to the mcafee anti virus program. and also my touchpad alienfx light isnt changing color. tried to change it but nothing happens. grrr. a lil sad and frustrated. tried turning alienfx off and on again, tried different color, nothing happens.

better go claim your warranty..
