Bought a new old stock Alienware M11x R2 for RM1630

Specs as follow : DELL ALIENWARE M11X-R2 LAPTOP Intel Core i5-520UM(1.06GHz,4 Threads,turboBoost up to 1.86GHz,3M), 4GB DDR3, 1GB Nvidia GT335M, Windows 7 Ultimate.

Finally after climbing the Inspiron and XPS ladder, I have an Alienware A nice replacement for my dead Dell Dimension E520 desktop!

Finally, GTX 680M is here..........!! And on NVIDIA website, it features M17x R4.......!!

Dell discounted price depends on the upgrades you made is it?

1.6k is cheap, but make sure you still have official warranty from Dell MY.

SA have their own quota for discount. You can ask for discount even if you are purchasing a basic spec, but of course the discount will be higher for every upgrade made.

Basically the discount start vary from RM60 to RM 200 and above.

I don't see any GTX680M option for M17x-R4 from their official website yet

But basic spec with RM 5,599.00 is bloody cheap!

anyone here using their alienware for assgs? Especially those that are in design courses or engineering courses. In terms of rendering performance, will a 7970 > gtx675 or its the other way? Lets say, i'm using it for video editing/photoshop or simply just to render a 3D model.
