If I am not mistaken, all smartphone doesnt power on itself if the phone is off, that includes alarm lo......

tell you what even the famous fruit phone also doesnt have this feature. as mentioned by many - smartphones these days do NOT go into low power state when you turn it off. Nokia has it because their phones go into low power state when you "turn it off". That's the reason why alarm still work for those phones. Just leave the phone on standby, go into airplane mode if u worried u might run out of juice while sleeping. I've been using my nexus one as an alarm clock for more than a year and never had any major issues with the battery also..dunno what you guys are complaining till need to turn it off..bah.

asked many times. no word from samsung yet, until there's official word or notice, dont expect it yet. if u really think ICS is that big a deal then get Galaxy S II or Galaxy Note. You can expect unofficial custom ROM ICS build but dont expect official ICS build for Galaxy W just yet.
