Restore wont do you any good. I'm sure its digitizer aka the glass defect.

I made a video on my old i3Gs last time (below). If your case is similar to mine and you are eligible to claim. If you are in KL area. You can dropby @ to oany of these point.

Good luck for it.

Its normal for some i5 users who are facing the rattle sound on the lens. No solution to stop the noise.

Another suggestion to you, bring over to service centre. Try talk them out to get them replace a new one for you. By no mistake, rattle noise can exchange but not noise from camera. Give a try

What do you mean?

My ip5 will produce the rattle noise whenever i tap around the camera area or when i shake the phone.

I bought the ip5 from Maxis. I heard that its quite hard to get replacement due to this prob esp the telco set. cry.gif

Hi...I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I've been doing some research on this forum and also in malls such as LowYat and Digital Mall on the prices of certain hardware repairs for iPhones but they vary quite a lot.

I got an iPhone 4 with a faulty power button (top button). Roughly how much would that cost to repair?

I also have an iPhone 4S with a cracked screen. Also, how much would repairing this cost? After I asked around some tell me RM 160 (labor included) and others want to charge me RM 600. Got one or two people who are also telling me that an original screen is RM 480.

Thanks.

Rattle noise from camera is not eligible for replacement. Nevetheless, still go and try claim. No harm doing so.

Question is the reliability of the repairman. Go ahead only if you have confidence with them. smile.gif

There are many types of quality in the market. Price range from 100++ - 600. It all depends on the type of screen you choose and the repairman charges.
The only thing is that don't get cheated from those who sells you A or AA grade screen with the price of original claiming that their product is original.

Are there any ways I can tell if I'm being cheated or not?

Hard to tell since you are not good in these. Best solution is finding a good/reputable repairman.
