bro i have the same prob.. the keypad was not respond when i touch TYGHVB other letters ok.
Also when i touch the icon it was ok..only when i used key pad

ok my iphone 4 problem..

it vibrate with black screen till the battery dead
then i use it,then after few hours or minutes i didnt touch the phone
the vibration happen again

so i can still use it for a certain time..no need to hard reset

not sure its the battery prob ..
bcause i did overcharge it the day before it happen

Restore your iPhone. It should pop up and error half way restoring. Even if you managed to restore and screen is still black, meaning some part on the board got sorted Liao. Better send to technician for diagnose.

Have you restored your phone already? Any error message?
It looks like more towards power related issue. Either the battery or the power ic could have failed.

My previous 3GS have a weird problem as below;

1. Cannot charge when turning on. i.e cannot charge while phone turn on via cable to pc or to power socket. only can charge while phone turned off

2. Because of these, i cant transfer data to pc vice versa

3. Again, home button not working.

4. Sometimes network keep hilang.

Is it worth to repair and how much?
If can repair, how much to change the casing i.e back casing cause already patah.

Problem with your iPhone

Symtom 1) Docking connector problem
Symtom 2) Docking connector problem
Symtom 3) Home flex connector on the dock
Symtom 4) Antenna

First thing to do now is to change your dock assembly. It comprises of loud speaker, mic, dock connector & antenna.

Owh, on the other hand, since the phone back cover and the screen is not attach properly (i.e longgar) i can see that the other side of the screen is higher than the bottom of the screen. Even the bevel is longgar. Is changing the phone casing will solve the issue?

If the screen is not even, most prolly you had changed the glass before. Therefore the middleframe will be uneven.

To solve this you have to change a new middle frame + good hand work by person who does the operation.

The buttom drum is no longer working. Some say stuck something in between outer button and the flex drum. but its not the permanent solution.

Best is to change the whole flex into a new one.

I can boot into the iphone fine, everything is clear. Unlocking, can see the home screen and can launch applications fine. However when it idles for longer then a minute or when I turn it off(pressing power button, not holding) and put it back on, its a solid white screen. I noticed i can still receive calls and unlocking it (guesing where the slide to unlock is) but its a solid white. Only way to cure this is by turning off the phone and putting it back of, which when it locks im back at the same prediciment.

MY LCD Screen still working Fine .. Any idea to fix?

Its depends whether you want a fully white (front glass + back) or just the back cover.

Normal type of white people change the back cover only. Of course you will need to change the mute button & sim tray to white as well. Rough cost for back itself is RM100 - 200 depending where you get it fixed.
