If I buy my ip from a maxis user but I'm using u mobile, if I go maxis with his service card but using u mobile sim, can I still be able to claim it? I has the maxis service card. *a bit off topic.

You should be able to claim with the service card but sometimes they will ask your ic for verification.

Please do not turn off your devices, straight soak it in a packet of uncooked rice.

Wait for few days, preferably for a week or more. Then only clean it with isopropyl alcohol.

Still put in a bag of uncooked rice and bring to nearest service provider to clean it.

They could be right. Could be your ic or sim card reader problem.
3rd party repair will not cost that high unless its baseband issue.

hi,
its definitely wifi chip problem. Did you drop your 4s before? It must be damage resulted from droppage.
It can be done. Initially when your iPhone is still on IOS5, it was working right? Just that you were facing intermittent problem. And right after upgraded to IOS6 straight greyed out right?

nope, when iOS5 already greyed out. So I decided to restore and update my phone hoping that it was a software prob. But, problem remained. And yes my 4s was dropped in the past, quite long time ago from table height. any shop repairing WiFi chip? bcoz i asked a service guy in lowyat forum, he said he doesnt have spare part for the wifi chip. =(
