QUOTE(yanyanyan @ Jan 18 2012, 08:43 PM) May i know why is this related to battery? I mean my iphone 3gs has the same problem too. Keep restart by itself I had many customers faced this issue before. Fixed by changing battery only. Other components are lil bit non related. Parts to test is just the battery. |

Hi people..Anyway a friend of mine is having the same problem. Her phone can't send/receive messages. Can't make/receive calls. When someone calls, it rings on the other side but nothing on my her side. Weird thing is that while no texts can get through.. she gets texts from those 66XXX numbers. She said she can still surf using the phone. After I told her to restore her phone.. it worked fine. But then a few weeks after, maybe 3 weeks after it happened again. So although the problem can be solved by restoring the phone.. it's kinda crazy to be doing it every time right? Her brother and another friend said there could be a problem with the sim card. Maybe the person cut it wrongly or something. It kinda make sense that it's a sim card problem as she can still surf using WiFi.. Any ideas people? Thank you in advance |

Whats your baseband numerics? You just dont buy motherboard parts. Even its available in the market, will be quite pricey and you will need to equip yourself with some knowledge before repairing it.So i was wandering is it really true? Might send to someone who knows how to do it. :\ |

I think he just screwed up his baseband chip. BTW they (the shop) can't take part of the hardware as it come as 1 piece unless they swap the logicboard (something like the phone motherboard) all together.

Last choice is to replace motherboard? But got reply said motherboard and the wifi/bluetooth/network hardware is separate. |
