it's normal..everyone here have that prob
this only happens when your car is new...the gearbox is overheating
stop by the side...rest it for a while...thn start it
everyone here has no problem starting it after cooled down

solution...send your car back to SC to add that extra hose, CVT pump..etc...got recall

I just drive my car for not more than 5 minutes....is it will cause overheating?
I stop beside highway (feel dangerous) and turn off engine for 5-10minutes, restart also can't move, the warning light still on.

Send back to SC really can solve the gearbox problem? How was your car condition? After service everything alright?

mine just clocked 1150++km, so far so good (1st batch+recalled = wait a month after booking tongue.gif)

i dn't drive FLX but plenty that drives FLX here
2 reason this happen so far
1.overheating...there are members here pushing their car till 165KM/H
2.the gearbox is new...respond from members here say it only happen ONCE...mostly around 1k mileage
after it happen once...they stop aside...wait awhile..start it back...until now never happen again

and there are a few recalls if u see a few page back
got CVT pump, clutch adaption, fuel hose, extra CVT cooling hose
all that solves the problem
if u say cannot start back....probably is ECU problem?...usually they will reset the ECU

but his problem is light up and cannot start back up already
for me..i think ECU problem
we have a few that cannot start up there car end up go SC to reset ECU
if CVT problem...it should have no problem starting back up...only when driving will have serious jerk probably

I don't think Proton is handling this properly or with the appropriate sense of urgency. mad.gif

It seems this CVT issue is not isolated as it has already affected several members here. What about the owners who are not LYN members? How many have to be stranded roadside before Proton will properly do a recall to install those parts? The Proton SC I go to are not even aware of this issue.

Do your fellow FLX owners a favour and spread the word on facebook or something, tell them to send their car to the nearest SC if they haven't. Being stranded in the middle of the road is not fun and often dangerous. New car owners shouldn't have to suffer this kind of fate just because Proton f*cked up. doh.gif

Agree that Proton didnt handle this matters properly for the sack of consumer.

But for their side, they try cover up this story without affecting their sales and prospect owner's confidence.

and if they:
announce = Malaysian + P2 shoot them gao gao
dont announce = 1st batch Saga FLX owner shoot them gao gao.

Which u choose on their side?

Hi all,
New here smile.gif Got my FLX about 2.5 months back.

I didnt seem to have that gearbox function though. Currently at 4600km in mileage.
But I agree there is a jerking sometimes when stepping the accelerator, any recommendations?

Be gentle tongue.gif

But as a precaution, please send it back to an SC to have it updated.

But seriously, its due to the clutch system, that's why got slight jerk. If you are really gentle, it can be eliminated brows.gif

Yup. I did send back to the SC for the 1k KM service, wondering what should I tell him for the next service due in like a week or two ... to get rid of that jerkiness.

I am gentle with the accelerator so reason why I havent had a gear box meltdown yet smile.gif
