I tink mine oso quite tight. just notice after read ur post.
and do you have a problem with the gear knob when shifting to "R"?
sometime mine like din engage althou speedo panel did show "R" (occur when i not able to shift accurately to "R" position then try to adjust the gear knob back to accurate "R" position)
then ned to shift to "P" or "N" or "D" only able to engage reverse gear after tat. rclxub.gif

it exists from the beginning

coz, my headlamps sticker is connected to my bumper. If this is installed during my service last week, the sticker should be torn off/damaged since the whole bumper needs to be taken off in order to facilitate the installation of that black piping, but its not.

Take a look under your hood, on the CVT box, they should write a "P" on it and also there's some hose with a semi translucent cap on the end attached to it. Then the second recall part is actually the fuel hose which feeds fuel into the engine from the fuel pump. It has nothing to do with the CVT box since this recall affects all FLX regardless of transmission.

IS this the P mark u mentioned and the plastic cap as said?

it's normal..everyone here have that prob
this only happens when your car is new...the gearbox is overheating
stop by the side...rest it for a while...thn start it
everyone here has no problem starting it after cooled down

solution...send your car back to SC to add that extra hose, CVT pump..etc...got recall
*
maybe not overheating?
clutch oil pump recall, tat part got failure perhaps...
not able to maintain oil pressure for the clucth to engage and disengage? hmm... hmm.gif im just guessing..haha..

Agree that Proton didnt handle this matters properly for the sack of consumer.

But for their side, they try cover up this story without affecting their sales and prospect owner's confidence.

and if they:
announce = Malaysian + P2 shoot them gao gao
dont announce = 1st batch Saga FLX owner shoot them gao gao.

Which u choose on their side?

Nice stitches on the gearknob, though one does wonder how well it can last against wear and tear before the threads come off.  hmm.gif

Drum brake from what i noe is more simple than disc brake in term of precision and construction.
But my experience is with a 35years old Datsun 120Y, i can change the brake shoe myself without a hiccup.
take the wheel off>knock abit the housing to take cover off> unscrew a few screw, spring> off the pad go... rclxms.gif
Nowadays drum brake im not sure, havent try get my hand dirty on it. Mechanism shud be same i think..brows.gif

I just mean drum brake have better grip compare disc brake for rear. =]
*
You are kidding me, drum brake isnt any superior in term of braking force..they just old technology.
but lower cost in manufacturing it.
If it have better grip, you will see marsidi/bmw/luxury car use four drum brake instead of 4-wheel disc brake...haha...
but 1 thing good about drum is it wont easily get jammed in the event of hard sudden brake unless the brake pad fall off from the shoe...haha... (p/s: tats y i get my hand dirty with the old datto, rust made the pad give way)

Punch auto tu tak tahu. good luck to the flx.

i called u dai gor oso..
u still din get wat mr_alien trying to say?
nowadays manufacturer will reduce cost, increase production = Optimizing resources.
Higher yield of products means bringing more profit to the company and better year end bonus too..agree?
It is not necessary for them to produce a gearbox that last that long.
my hometown fridge from Sharp last for 20years++ is running now, nowadays fridge can last 10years consider a good product ad..haha..
Reputation is from history ...smile.gif

QUOTE(banoriginal @ Dec 15 2011, 12:54 PM)
10% dpmnt, 9 yrs., Mthly 520

income of 1600 +side income around 100-300
Housing is not a problem
Spending
Eat and drink -300 (work package to eat)
Telephone -50
Car oil -80
save -200
Entertainment -300
The remaining approximately RM650

Will I have enough each month for the rest of the 520 a month + service / insurance / other do?
*
Bro, when u have car, you will go around more often, hence use more fuel and spend more in F&B, unless u have no fren..^^
Dun forget to include car maintenance, i assume u service 2times a year (6month each time). Based on a bro previous post old maintenance schedule of a BLM of 100k KM, each month you need to allocate around RM60 (included 15% price inflation) (All products price already increased)^^.
Road tax + car insurance = RM1450+- divide by 12months = RM120

Let say in a month u will spend very lil bit more:
Yumcha session / movie / misc = RM60
Budget for road tax + ins = RM120
Car service maintenance = RM60
Extra RM240/month extra cost incurred

Minus ur budget >> RM650 - RM240 = RM410 (Real car budget)
Point me out if im wrong...^^
