Now dashboard also rattles..... anybody knows how to rectify it...... thankss
*
new steering?...the steering has no problem at all
it's the horn part that vibrate cuz not attached...not just proton, any steering design like this also will vibrate

i feel like the gear knob a bit cheapo..

- u can "goyang²" lock button (auto tranny)..why it can goyang2?  tongue.gif
*
it's normal to goyang2 cuz got spring inside
hah...some say too tight = complain
too loose = complain
why not those "too tight" and "too loose" switch car...see how
for me...too tight or too loose if fine..as long as it doesn't fall apart already..HAHA
cuz if u go complain....too tight thn they fix become too loose..u complain again...padahal is normal

hehe..coz my boss using persona (auto oso), and the gear lock is ok.. biggrin.gif
how much psc will charge for 1st time service (cvt)? is it same with others? (around rm150 i guess)
*
RM130+-
and whether CVT or manual have no difference
cuz only when u change the gear oil only got difference
1st service until like 35k KM service will be the same cuz CVT need to wait until 40k only change CVT oil
each 10k will be abit more expensive cuz they will change spark plug

the gear knob..u can ask SC to adjust it but mind u...dn't come back here complain too tight if they adjust too tight

My flx cvt warning light on just now 12a.m while driving smoothly at highway, just press a little bit more fuel pedal want to overtake a car then Gear Box light on.....stop beside highway, restart engine N times also can't move....call Plus for help to pull my car to the nearest toll.....haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....proton ar proton..........Who else kena like my case? now ady lose confident to my car....
*
it's normal..everyone here have that prob
this only happens when your car is new...the gearbox is overheating
stop by the side...rest it for a while...thn start it
everyone here has no problem starting it after cooled down

solution...send your car back to SC to add that extra hose, CVT pump..etc...got recall

I just drive my car for not more than 5 minutes....is it will cause overheating?
I stop beside highway (feel dangerous) and turn off engine for 5-10minutes, restart also can't move, the warning light still on.

Send back to SC really can solve the gearbox problem? How was your car condition? After service everything alright?
*
i dn't drive FLX but plenty that drives FLX here
2 reason this happen so far
1.overheating...there are members here pushing their car till 165KM/H
2.the gearbox is new...respond from members here say it only happen ONCE...mostly around 1k mileage
after it happen once...they stop aside...wait awhile..start it back...until now never happen again

and there are a few recalls if u see a few page back
got CVT pump, clutch adaption, fuel hose, extra CVT cooling hose
all that solves the problem
if u say cannot start back....probably is ECU problem?...usually they will reset the ECU

maybe not overheating?
clutch oil pump recall, tat part got failure perhaps...
not able to maintain oil pressure for the clucth to engage and disengage? hmm... hmm.gif  im just guessing..haha..
*
but his problem is light up and cannot start back up already
for me..i think ECU problem
we have a few that cannot start up there car end up go SC to reset ECU
if CVT problem...it should have no problem starting back up...only when driving will have serious jerk probably

Jz came back from hypermarket where there was an Inspira roadshow. Asked a SA about the 1.6 flx, he say til now still dunno the price, but he say should be 48k-49k. He also say normally Proton will let them know the price a month before launching, so He thinks have to wait may more than a month before launching.

Also got a brochure from him (He hid it in his sales folder biggrin.gif). Considering the amount of features and the price point, P2 can really suck balls now.
*
from the SA source in funtastiko design...the ones that leaked the 1.6FLX SE pic and brochure
the SA member there said 15/12...with exora bold

QUOTE(dares @ Nov 26 2011, 11:19 AM)
Driving slow with low RPM doesn't necessarily means save fuel, because you reach your destination slower.

If you're a MT driver, you can dyno your car to observe the RPM range where your engine performs the most efficient, then try to keep driving and shifting in that range for optimum fuel efficiency.

For AT drivers....no choice  biggrin.gif
*
yes...driving slow with low RPM doesn't mean save fuel
but driving fast with low RPM will save fuel...thats becuz you're maintaining the RPM much longer
higher RPM of course will consume more fuel
every car have their optimum speed to best save fuel...most car is 90KM/H
saga is 85KM/H...more precise is 80KM/H cuz that when the IAFM in action...but 85KM/H is best to maintain it

have you tried that? any good advantage to our engine? if it could reduce the engine noise and better pickup, then i can consider that for my next service  hmm.gif
*
if u want reduce engine noise and better pickup...try oil that contains "molybdenum"
from what i know...i know 2 brand that contains it...liqui moly and eneos
there could be more brand that contains it...read the label

those cheap oil shell and petronas dn't have those la
i use it all the time last time..all the way becuz its cheap
last time its RM90 right?...now hike 2 time become RM10X already
so i didn't use those oil already....
the liqui moly i use is RM120 only...the shell HX-7 in my place is RM109
add RM11 more only but the oil that i use is SL
but i can tell u...it's more quiet and much smoother than those SM's shell and petronas(BISING)

from what i know...i only know liqui moly and eneos have molybdenum..the label have write
and it will make your car quiet and smooth
if u want better pickup/light engine/easy to rev...buy oil that contains "ester and PAO"
