Higher yield of products means bringing more profit to the company and better year end bonus too..agree?
It is not necessary for them to produce a gearbox that last that long.

Thats where some people just don't get it. Whether your is broke or not, people will continue to buy new stuff.

what is the best form of advertisement? Recommendations from friends and relatives. Before you buy something new, don't you usually ask someone about the product?

Chances are, somebody will have something good or bad to say about about a particular brand, which will ultimately influence your decision.

For me, TV, the best is SONY, why? My SONY lasted me so long without a single problem, I bought after discussing with my friend who uses a SONY. My second set was a SAMSUNG and I regret it. So if someone asks me, I will recommend SONY for sure. Who gets another customer? SONY! Win Win situation.

Same goes for other consumer products.

Two tai-gors, fridge is good point: agree today's fridge easily spoilt, but do u know which parts spoilt in the 1st place? door rubber harden, yes.Thermostat gone, yes. timer stop, yes.but hardly the compressor or major parts la.Same thing with cars.many parts esp plastic don't last long nowadays, but the engine block/gb/car frame/suspension etc etc major parts MUST stand.old cars give u a lot of small probs until u beh tahan maintain & chg,but not until block crack/gb died mi4 way/rust til drop. People like new cars, tat's how aisin $$ by making good products hence chosen by many car makers.
Not intend to convince u, u & i can continue to live in our own fantasy worlds... lol

btw do u use nokia new hp,not ip4?i do,using x6.drop countless times but still function good.using it to online with u now. rclxms.gif who say new nokia not reliable?

*
I think they mean, dun add any NORMAL TAP WATER and add only premixed coolant or DISTILLED WATER.

To avoid from the contaminants going in.

abt the sony...its normal...the more u pay, of course it will last longer
reason samsung TV doesn't last long is becuz they cut cost to make it cheap....there are certain part inside that filters the electric that is missing/cut
if not wrong is call capacitor
and that is why samsung TV look so thin as well
so when sudden large electric came in...and the capacitor isn't there...it will fry it...thus need to change the whole board
and those thick CRT TV is definitely more lasting than the new LCD TV
when the LCD TV's LC(liquid crystal) ran out...thn its time to either change the LCD panel or change TV(change TV is a better choice)
this is hw they limit their lifespan and continue to make sales and company exist
phone/electronic nowadays very fragile..if didn't drop be4 thn no problem
electronic nowadays can only sustain a MAX 3 drop...some even 1 already finish
so old is still better than new
but old will eventually phased out sooner or later...so have to accept the fact

Done my 2nd service for my Saga FL ....but this time, price very high this time ...RM323.40....  doh.gif at 1st, just only RM 168 for servicing...then, got this 1 'macha' asked me to recheck alignment since he said need to check every 5,000km ...check², he said 'toe' not balance and front tyre got 'makan' a bit outside...so,they change tyre from rear to front ...after done everything, and see the price like that, what more can I say? Ahaa ..but after that, really satisfied coz my steering respond well ...cornering even more confident ...don't know laa if price like that ( at authorized Proton service center CarWorld jalan klang lama) is expensive .. blush.gif  sweat.gif  rclxub.gif

Well brace yourself. You kena ketuk cow cow already. Bitter lesson learnt. Never ever go back to this shop or even complain to Proton of his overcharging and downright cheating!

Let me list the unauthorised overcharging or cheating for you.

1) Engine flush? Is your FL 10year old car, never serviced before that you need Engine Flush? Cheated! Rm30
2) Windscreen cleaner, (Tesco one bottle 1litre Rm7.90) theirs 1 small bottle? Cheated! Rm5.90
3) Screw Chamber!( Wah my Suzuki ERV 8 year old also never change Chamber Screw before!) Cheated! Rm60
4) Alignment,(at EON i got mine done for RM18 only!) Overcharged you! Rm26
5) WTF Chamber again? How many times they want to charge you the same thing? Cheated! Rm40
6) Balancing and Patching?? Rm34! Wah lau eh! Dunno what to say lah! Rm34

Total theyCHEATED or Overcharged you....RM195.90

So avoid this Service Cheat Centre! Go directly Proton or EON like me. There should 1 EON Service Centre in your state.

Thanks for sharing the information and shop name with us. We can take this as a precaution and avoid this shop!

Actually, it isn't the cutting part that makes electronics unreliable, its the solder. Last time we all use lead solder, now all is lead free, which is very unreliable and until now they still research on better solder. I worked in AMD plant so I know tis problem.. and summore I am a materials engineer smile.gif cannot totally blame manufacturer use lousy item, it's the regulation... lead solder gives a better and much more stable solder joint.. lead free very low strength and subjected to thermal cycle, easy crack smile.gif sorry offtopic abit hehe

This cannot be true. You know how many things on the Saga they will have to re-design to create a real car like this? (eg. storage for the roof, remove 2 back doors, complete chassis redesign) Might as well design a completely different car from the ground up that looks better.

As much as I love the current Saga design, this one is really doh.gif
